Install the free Patch 15 update, then go to the Battle Barge, open Siege mode selection, and choose Hive. Hive is the new Chaos Siege map, where you play as Heretic Astartes against Tyranid and Imperial forces. The Battle Barge menu route is supported by player reports; the official patch notes confirm Hive and Chaos Siege but do not give button-by-button directions.
How to access Chaos Siege
- Install Patch 15. The free update was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Focus Entertainment’s [Patch 15 announcement](https://www.focus-entmt.com/en/news/space-marine-2-patch-15-is-now-available) says it is available on those platforms.
- Go to the Battle Barge and open Siege mode selection.
- Choose Hive. Player reports identify Hive in the Siege selection as the Chaos map, distinct from the original Siege map. The official [Patch Notes 15.0](https://www.focus-entmt.com/en/news/warhammer-40000-space-marine-2-patch-notes-15-0) confirm Hive as the new Siege map, but do not document the exact menu route.
The publisher presents Chaos Siege as part of the free Patch 15 update; its announcement does not identify a separate purchase for the mode. The patch notes reviewed do not specify a character-level gate or separate progression unlock.
What happens on the Hive map?
Hive is set in a hive city on Avarax. You control Heretic Astartes, with Cultists and a Helbrute supporting you, and fight Tyranids alongside Imperial enemies, including Cadians and loyalist Space Marines. The official patch notes describe the playable faction as Heretic Astartes, while the publisher announcement identifies the opposing forces.
Hive versus the original Siege map
| Siege option | Playable side | Setting and opponents |
|---|---|---|
| Hive (Chaos Siege) | Heretic Astartes, supported by Cultists and a Helbrute | A hive city on Avarax; Tyranids, Cadians, and loyalist Space Marines |
| Original Siege map | Not stated in the cited Patch 15 sources | Not stated in the cited Patch 15 sources |
The original-map comparison is limited to what the Patch 15 sources and player reports establish: Hive is the Chaos Siege option, separate from the original Siege map. Those sources do not establish further mode variants or a recommended difficulty.

Yojaro 4Pack Silicone Suction Phone Case Mount, Silicon Adhesive Smartphones Stand Sticky, Hands-Free Phone Accessories Holder for Selfies and Videos (Black & White & Translucent & Light Pink)
- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
How much Siege content is available?
Focus Entertainment’s October 2026 announcement describes two Avarax Siege sectors. A September 2026 community update also described two sectors and said a third was in development; that was a pre-release status, so it does not confirm whether the live sector count changed after launch. Check the current in-game map selection for the available sectors.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. If Hive is missing from the menu
- Confirm that Patch 15 is installed and that the game has finished updating.
- Return to the Battle Barge’s Siege selection and look for Hive rather than the original Siege map.
- If Hive still does not appear, restart the game and check for any pending update for your platform. The available official notes do not document a specific troubleshooting fix or separate unlock requirement.
Do not look for Chaos Siege under Crucible: Patch 15 treats Crucible as a separate PvE feature, not the launch point for this mode.
