To unlock the taxi job in My Winter Car, buy and take the Rivett from its seller, then read the taxi flyer at PSK and call the number printed on it. Meet the taxi driver in the PSK parking lot at noon for a briefing; after that, you can take fares using the Machtwagen.
Unlock the taxi job
- Buy the Rivett and take it from the seller. The taxi-job entry on My Winter Car Wiki says the flyer appears on the PSK notice board after this step. A Steam Community discussion also describes buying the Rivett before finding the flyer.
- Read the taxi flyer at PSK. Call the number shown: the wiki lists it as 08-712112.
- Go to the PSK parking lot at noon for the meeting. The wiki describes the appointment as the next weekday; the Steam discussion calls it the next day. The driver reportedly waits in the taxi. Enter the passenger seat to receive the briefing. The wiki says the driver will continue waiting at noon until you complete this meeting.
A separate FAQ says the Rivett must also be taken to your parents’ house, but that extra condition is not corroborated by the other cited walkthrough sources, so treat it as uncertain rather than a confirmed requirement.
Start a fare with the Machtwagen
After the briefing, use the taxi’s car phone to receive fare requests. The My Winter Car Wiki describes waiting with the taxi light on and the taximeter in minus mode. When a customer calls, choose the fare mode that matches the time, then run the meter while driving to the passenger and onward to the destination. Carry the passenger’s luggage if they have any.

Plan for routes, fuel, and pay
- Route-finding: The address map is reported to be inside the driver’s sun visor.
- Fuel and starting: The taxi is described as a diesel vehicle that you pay to refuel. The wiki also identifies it as rear-wheel drive and recommends waiting for the glow plugs before starting.
- Reported earnings: The wiki says pay is 40% of the total fare plus 3.7 MK per kilometer, minus phone expenses, with salary deposited to your bank on Wednesday at midnight. It also reports that off-duty driving is allowed up to 90% of passenger-on-duty kilometers; exceeding that limit reduces payment. These are community-wiki figures, not independently verified guarantees.
If customers do not activate after loading a save
A note on the taxi-job wiki reports that after loading a save, cycling the taximeter through its modes until it reaches mode 1 or 2 may restore customer calls. This is a reported, potentially version-specific workaround, not a guaranteed fix.
