Limited-time modes in Call of Duty: Mobile rotate with seasonal content. To find one, open the current Multiplayer or Battle Royale mode list, then check the in-game Events tab for the activity card, dates, missions, access conditions and rewards. There is no universal unlock code: some activities start from the mode selector, some require event progression, and others add an objective that must be completed inside a match.
What “limited-time mode” means in Call of Duty: Mobile
A limited-time mode is a temporary activity tied to a season or event. It may be a complete playlist, a Battle Royale activity, or an event layer that changes how you access content and earn rewards. When the event window closes, its card, missions or matchmaking option may disappear, even if an older guide still describes it.

Activision’s seasonal announcements describe new modes, maps, themed events and rewards arriving over time. Those announcements document the season named in each post; they are not a permanent catalog or a guarantee that the same activity is available in your current game build. Treat the mode list and the event card shown in your own client as the authority for what you can play now.

The reliable way to find a live limited-time activity
- Open the mode-selection screen. From the main lobby, enter the Multiplayer or Battle Royale section, depending on the activity you want. Scan the available tiles for a temporary playlist or event-branded activity. A mode that appeared in a previous season may not be listed now.
- Open the Events tab. The event card normally identifies the active window, missions, login requirements, reward track and any special instructions. Official guidance specifically tells players to check the in-game Events tab throughout a season for daily-mission rewards and monthly-login incentives.
- Read the card before launching. Look for wording that distinguishes direct access from progression. A card may tell you to select a playlist, complete assignments, log in on specified days, or perform an objective during a match.
- Record the end date and reward conditions. If a reward requires several missions or logins, make sure those requirements fit inside the remaining event window. Historical dates from an announcement should never be treated as the current schedule.
- Launch the activity from the path shown. Use the card’s Play, Go, or equivalent button when it is available. If the card sends you to Multiplayer or Battle Royale, select the named activity there rather than an ordinary playlist.
Three ways a limited-time mode can be unlocked
The access pattern matters more than the phrase “limited-time mode.” Official seasonal examples show three distinct models.

These are different systems, not stages of one universal recipe. Completing a faction assignment will not necessarily unlock a portal activity, and finding a portal objective will not necessarily unlock a second event faction.
How to use a mode that is available directly
Confirm the playlist and map context
Read whether the tile belongs to Multiplayer or Battle Royale. The same event theme can appear in only one of those sections, and selecting the wrong section can make the activity seem missing. If the event card includes a map or mode name, use that exact name when scanning the list.
Check the live window before matchmaking
Temporary playlists can have a fixed start and end time. Open the event card immediately before you play, because a saved bookmark, an old announcement or a previous guide may describe an expired window. If the card no longer displays a Play option or the tile has vanished, the activity is not currently available through that route.

Read any reward and mission conditions
A mode can be playable while its reward track has additional conditions. The card may separate simply entering a match from winning, completing daily missions, logging in or finishing a set of assignments. Follow the condition shown for the reward you want instead of assuming every match advances every task.
How to handle event-progression unlocks
Start with the first visible assignment set
Open the event card and identify which faction, chapter or assignment group is currently active. Complete the listed tasks in the order or combination the card requests. Keep the card open between sessions so you can verify which objectives have registered.
Verify the unlock trigger
In the documented Season 5 example, the second faction became available only after all assignments for the first faction were completed. The important lesson is the completion threshold: partial progress was not described as sufficient. Your current event may use a different threshold, so rely on the wording on its card rather than copying the Season 5 condition.

Claim or enter the newly opened content
After the required assignments are complete, return to the event card. A newly available faction, mission page or activity may need to be selected there before it appears elsewhere. If nothing changes, close and reopen the card, then check whether one assignment still shows an incomplete condition.

The Season 8 Quantum Platform announcement illustrates why some temporary activities cannot be unlocked from the lobby alone. In that example, squads had to complete a marked Battle Royale contract, protect a teleporter while it charged, and then enter the portal.
- Enter the specified Battle Royale activity. The event description identifies the relevant mode and the marked contract. If the contract marker is absent, confirm that the correct event and playlist are active before spending time searching.
- Find the marked contract. Use the in-match marker and follow the contract’s instructions. The contract is the first gate in this example; simply landing in Battle Royale does not complete the activity.
- Defend the teleporter during its charge. The sequence requires the squad to remain involved while the teleporter charges. Protect the objective rather than leaving immediately after starting it.
- Enter the portal. Once the charge is complete, use the portal as instructed. The event’s result depends on completing the sequence, not merely locating the marker.
This example should not be generalized to every seasonal activity. A future event may replace the contract, use a different objective or offer direct playlist access instead.

How to compare two live limited-time activities
When several event cards are visible, compare them before choosing where to spend your play time. The following four questions expose the practical differences without relying on an old season guide.

A 2026 Season 3 announcement listed the Spring Invasion event for 16 March through 5 April 2026. It described login and mission requirements for earning all available rewards. Those dates are a historical example of a fixed event window, not a current schedule. If you are reading this after that period, the announcement cannot unlock Spring Invasion or prove that its missions remain active.

The same announcement advised players to check the in-game Events tab throughout the season for information including daily-mission rewards and monthly-login incentives. That instruction is more useful than copying a calendar date from an archived post: the card in your current build reflects the availability and requirements that apply to your account.
What to do when a limited-time mode is missing
The tile is not in Multiplayer or Battle Royale
- Open the Events tab and search for the activity by its event name.
- Confirm that the card’s dates include the current day and that the activity belongs to the section you opened.
- Check whether the card says an assignment or login requirement must be completed first.
- Do not rely on a screenshot or video from an earlier season; the activity may have rotated out.
The event card is visible but there is no Play option
- Read the card for a prerequisite such as completing all assignments in another group.
- Look for an in-match objective that must be started from a normal Multiplayer or Battle Royale match.
- Check the reward and mission panels for an uncompleted condition.
- Reopen the event card after completing a requirement so the game can display the next stage.
Progress does not appear to count
- Compare the action you performed with the exact wording of the mission.
- Verify that you used the named mode rather than a similar standard playlist.
- Check whether the mission requires a login, a daily reset or completion of every assignment in a group.
- Review the card after the match and before starting another activity; this prevents confusing progress in one event with progress in another.
The event disappeared after you started working on it
A limited-time window can close while you are still following an older guide or saving missions for later. The mode list and event card in the current build determine whether the activity can still be launched or whether its rewards are no longer claimable. An archived announcement cannot extend the deadline.
How to plan your time around temporary rewards
- Prioritize expiring requirements. Start with cards showing the nearest end date, then handle tasks that require multiple logins or several assignment steps.
- Separate access from rewards. First determine whether you can play the mode. Then check which missions are needed for the particular reward you want; playing a mode does not automatically satisfy unrelated event conditions.
- Use the correct section each session. Multiplayer and Battle Royale activities can have separate cards and objectives. Confirm the section before launching.
- Recheck after a seasonal update. Seasonal content changes, and a mode can be replaced, renamed or removed. Re-read the current card instead of assuming yesterday’s route still applies.
Requirements and purchases: what the official information establishes
The official material reviewed does not state that a special physical edition, controller, phone accessory, repair item or manual is required to unlock these modes. Access is described through the game’s mode listings, event cards, missions and in-match objectives. Do not treat a generic accessory or an outside purchase as an unlock requirement unless the current in-game instructions explicitly say otherwise.
