007 First Light Update 1.3.0: Extended Operations is a free update dated October 1, 2026. Install the game’s latest update to access its new TacSim activities, Photo Mode, New Game+, and 00 difficulty. Some content is available immediately, while campaign features, weapons, and promotional cosmetics have separate unlock requirements.
How to get the free update
Update the game through the storefront for your platform. IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 patch notes list the release sizes as 11.9 GB on PS5, 14 GB on Steam, 13.5 GB on Xbox Series, 8 GB on Microsoft PC, and 13.6 GB on Epic Games Store. These were the publisher’s listed sizes at release; your current download may differ. The official Update 1.3.0 notes describe the release as free DLC.
Campaign features: finish the story first
New Game+
Complete the entire campaign to unlock New Game+. In that mode, use the journal to select outfits or restart from a chosen checkpoint. You can also swap gadgets during a mission, but only gadgets already unlocked at that point in the story are available.
00 difficulty
Finish the campaign to unlock 00 difficulty. It is a separate completion-gated option, not an automatic consequence of installing the update.

Photo Mode: use the in-game interface
Update 1.3.0 adds Photo Mode with camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses. The official notes do not specify button-by-button controls, so follow the prompts shown in the game rather than relying on a control combination from another platform.
TacSim: play the new activities
The new TacSim activities are separate from the campaign. Find them in the TacSim area at MI6 HQ.

Drive an Aston Martin Valhalla through a Slovakia-set activity with weapons and a score goal.
Jungle Heist
Return to The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam and recover documents from a villa safe. IO Interactive says attempts differ, so the activity is designed to vary between runs.

Pet Jack the Bulldog
Update 1.3.0 places Jack the Bulldog beside the TacSim area in MI6 HQ. Approach him to pet him.
TacSim weapons and outfits: what unlocks when
The 1.3.0 weapons require both the listed clearance level and Intel. The three new outfits are listed as unlocked by default.

Limited-time cosmetics: account linking and Twitch
The Grey Standard
Link the game to an IOI Account by November 1, 2026, to receive The Grey Standard. An IOI Account is not required to play the game; the official game FAQ says an account is needed for certain rewards.
One More Twitch Drop
The One More Twitch Drop is listed as available from October 1, 2026 at 15:00 UTC through October 16, 2026 at 17:00 UTC. It requires Twitch participation during that window; the dates and times are the ones specified in the official update notes.
What is live, and what remains a plan?
Update 1.3.0 is the authority for the features described above as released: Photo Mode, New Game+, 00 difficulty, and the new TacSim content. IO Interactive’s Year One announcement also listed planned additions, including a G2 Glasses gadget, a story-continuing mission, and Path Tracing for Nvidia GPUs. A roadmap listing is not confirmation that an item is live or free; check for a later official release announcement before treating other planned content as available. The Year One announcement also said plans could change.

Update fixes and improvements
Alongside the new content, IO Interactive says Update 1.3.0 includes over 700 fixes and improvements covering crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization, and UI polish. The publisher’s July 24, 2026 Update 1.1.0 notes reported fixes and improvements addressing over 200 issues.
