How to support Baba’s release
- Open the pregame lobby. If Baba is listed among the ballot choices, vote for her. Reports describe the new-hero order as determined by player votes, with heroes released one at a time. (deadlock.one; Deadlock Labs)
- Play to increase your reported vote weight. Update coverage says votes from the winning team count double, and a player’s first win of the day also grants twice as many votes. These are reported voting multipliers, not separate unlock methods or guarantees that Baba will be released next. (deadlock.one)
- Check the roster and in-game announcements. Look there to confirm whether Baba is actually available to select. The schedule and update reports do not establish that she won a release slot or that she is playable now.
Does Baba require a quest, level, or purchase?
The available sources do not document a Baba-specific quest, personal progression requirement, token, or paid unlock. They describe a vote-based order for releasing new heroes, not a checklist an individual player must complete to claim Baba.
Is Baba available in Deadlock now?
Deadlock Labs lists Rat King as released on October 2, 2026, and a second unlock slot on October 6, followed by slots on October 9, 13, 16, and 20. Its schedule page also lists Baba among the ballot choices. Separately, October 6 update coverage describes Baba as upcoming. What is known about Baba?
Third-party reporting on the October 6 “Mind the Birds” update describes Baba as a Central Park pigeon lady whose ultimate turns targets into pigeons. This is reporting about the update, not a directly verified Valve announcement. (unDeadlock)
