In Sniper Elite: Resistance, weapons come from four main routes: finding campaign workbenches, completing missions, finishing optional Kill Challenges, and earning rewards in Propaganda missions. The checklist below covers the base-game unlocks listed by GamingBolt on February 5, 2025; edition bonuses and DLC are separated because that list is not a verified inventory of every weapon added across later updates and platforms.
How weapon unlocks work
Campaign workbenches unlock weapons and customization options, and let you adjust your loadout during a mission. Rebellion’s launch guide says the benches are hidden around campaign maps, so explore rather than relying only on mission completion. Some benches are behind locked doors: GameSpot notes that keys, lockpicks, crowbars, or bolt cutters can provide access. Its guide covers benches across all eight campaign missions and says tagging every workbench earns the “Innovator” achievement. Rebellion’s Xbox Wire launch guide · GameSpot’s workbench locations
Other weapons are tied to finishing a named mission or completing that mission’s optional Kill Challenge. Hidden Resistance posters open Propaganda missions; completing challenge types can also award weapons. The weapon-by-weapon routes below are from GamingBolt’s February 2025 guide, a secondary-source snapshot, not an official current roster. GamingBolt’s February 2025 unlock list
Base-game weapon unlock checklist
“Default” means the weapon is listed as available by default in GamingBolt’s guide. Mission numbers and names identify the campaign unlock route; where the entry specifies a Kill Challenge, completing the mission alone is not the stated condition.

Finding workbenches and opening locked areas
Search each campaign mission for pistol, secondary, and rifle benches. GameSpot’s mission-by-mission guide can help if you want exact locations rather than searching the map yourself. If a route is blocked, check whether a key is nearby or use a lockpick, crowbar, or bolt cutters where available. Rebellion’s launch guide describes the benches as both an unlock source and a way to customize weapons, so they are worth visiting even when a mission reward is your immediate goal.
Propaganda mission rewards
Look for hidden Resistance posters during campaign missions to unlock Propaganda stages. GamingBolt’s February 2025 list associates the M1912 with completing all three Propaganda mission types, and the Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with completing all Sniping Propaganda missions. Replaying stages for better scores and medals is part of the reward route described in Rebellion’s launch guide; the guide does not specify a single score threshold for these two weapons. Edition bonuses and DLC are separate
GamingBolt’s list identifies the M1911 as a Deluxe Edition bonus and the Karabiner 98 Rifle as a preorder bonus; it also says neither has weapon mastery. Those are edition or preorder entitlements, not campaign unlock conditions. Check the edition and platform entitlement associated with your copy if either weapon is missing.
DLC and Season Pass content should not be treated as part of the base-game checklist. Steam’s official listing describes a Season Pass that includes three campaign missions, three weapon packs, three weapon-skin packs, a character-skin pack, and the Target Führer campaign mission. That description does not establish a complete, current weapon roster or confirm the same entitlements for every platform and edition. Official Steam listing
