To earn the base-game platinum or reach 100% achievements, plan for two completed runs: the Bay or Bae award requires different imported Chloe outcomes, while the other chapter and optional-objective awards can largely be handled through chapter replay. In the Chapter 1 conversation with Safi at the Snapping Turtle, choose “She Died” on one run and “We Broke Up” on the other. This guide covers the route and cleanup strategy; it does not reproduce the exact location of every collectible.

For Bay or Bae, the key requirement is completing the story twice with different imported Chloe outcomes. During the Chapter 1 conversation with Safi in the Snapping Turtle, after the bowling alley, answer “She Died” for Bay on one completed run and “We Broke Up” for Bae on the other. The roadmap identifies no other choice as part of this condition.
Square Enix’s official update page says a December 5, 2024 patch changed the achievement “to help ensure it unlocks if they meet the requirements.” That confirms an adjustment, not a guarantee that every present-day unlock issue is resolved. If you meet the stated condition and the award does not appear, check that both story runs were completed with the distinct answers.

Know which platform’s list you are completing
The trophy and achievement totals differ by platform, so do not treat the counts as interchangeable.

Story and photo awards by chapter
There are five chapters. Each has a chapter-completion award and an award for finding all its photos. The five chapter photo awards together satisfy Archival Footage; finishing all five chapters earns Commencement.

Optional interactions that unlock awards
Many non-story awards come from inspecting or using optional objects and speaking with characters. These are the notable requirements in the roadmap; collectible-category awards are listed separately because their full location checklists are not reproduced here.

Chapter 1
- Art Restoration: inspect the note by the paintings in the Turtle Bar, then fix all three paintings.
- The Mail Gaze: retrieve the package from the mail bin in the Admin Building and deliver it to Vinh. This also sets up the later favor choice.
- Putting the “Cap” in “Caper”: take Moses’s bottle cap, hide it in the sour candy by Safi’s chair, then offer Safi candy.
- Thinking Outside the Box: start the puzzle box with Reggie. Complete the solution in Max’s kitchen in Chapter 2.
Chapter 2
- Favor Saver: when Vinh offers the passcode route, save the favor for later rather than cashing it in.
- Loyal Flush: hear both men outside the bar in the Dead World, take the bathroom key, and place it in the Living World.
- Be Great, Do Crime!: agree to Alderman’s request, then choose “I’m not actually going to cooperate” during the later sequence with Moses.
- Thinking Outside the Box: finish the puzzle box in Max’s kitchen if you began it with Reggie in Chapter 1.
Chapter 3
- Romance outcomes: the choices to kiss or pass Amanda and Vinh produce four results: Amanda only, Vinh only, neither, or both. After earning one result, replay the bar subchapter and make choices for a different result. The trophy appears after leaving the bar.
Chapter 4
- Home Sweet Home: ask Safi about the broken chimney as a secondary interaction, then give the chimney to Moses in the Dead World.
- Thirst Trip: water the plant in Gwen’s office in the Dark World and the large plant in Max’s house in the Living World.
Collectible-category awards
- Clutterbug: find all Hellerton decorations.
- Page Turner: find all staff books.
- Patronizing (The Good Kind): interact with everyone’s project.
- Clue Me In: find all possible evidence-box clues.
- Platypus Genius: read all Platypus Facts messages.
The PowerPyx trophy guide refers these categories to a separate collectible guide rather than spelling out every location in its trophy requirements. After completing the story, use chapter replay to revisit scenes for missed optional interactions and romance results. PowerPyx recommends Explore Scene for most cleanup. Its guide warns that Restart Scene can overwrite later story progress, so use it only when you intend to replace that progress.

- Choose the chapter and subchapter containing the missed interaction or choice.
- Select Explore Scene when you want to revisit the area without replacing subsequent story progress.
- Use Restart Scene only if you are willing to overwrite later progress from that point.
- For the four romance outcomes, replay the Chapter 3 bar subchapter, vary the Amanda and Vinh choices, then leave the bar to trigger the award.
For Bay or Bae, chapter cleanup is not a substitute for the second completed run: finish the story once with each of the two specified Chapter 1 answers.
Cat trophies are DLC, not part of the base-game platinum
On PS5, PowerPyx lists Nothing Lasts Fur-Ever and Heavy Petting under Exclusive Cat Content DLC. The cat-related route involves adopting and feeding the cat, making a bed, photographing and petting it in later chapters, and scanning a flyer’s QR code. These two DLC trophies are separate from the base-game platinum requirement.
