The chapter-by-chapter unlock points below are reported by SportsRant’s October 22, 2025 guide; Team NINJA’s official page confirms the base-game weapon names and that completing the story unlocks Trials.
Base-game weapon unlocks
The six base-game weapons are split between Yakumo and Ryu. Yakumo’s Bloodraven Form changes the combat form of his weapons; those transformations are not separate unlockable weapons. Ryu’s sword also has a Gleam Form. Team NINJA’s official game page describes the weapons and forms, while the chapter triggers in the table are reported by the SportsRant guide linked above.

How Yakumo’s weapon forms change their roles
Yakumo can switch between each weapon’s base form and Bloodraven Form. The forms offer different attack styles rather than counting as additional weapons.
- Takeminakata: quick consecutive twin-blade attacks give way to longer-reach, powerful tachi attacks.
- Yatousen: the rapier emphasizes thrusts, while its transformed attacks use a lance- or drill-like motion.
- Magatsuhi: the staff attacks around Yakumo; its hammer form delivers area-impact attacks.
- Kage-Hiruko: assassin’s tools support ranged and close combat, while Bloodraven Form adds mechanical arms.
Ryu’s Dragon Sword uses Hayabusa-clan techniques, and Gleam Form enables fast consecutive attacks. Team NINJA says both characters’ forms use gauge resources; its combat-system overview describes the forms and weapon styles.

How to unlock Solitaire and Jakotsumon in The Two Masters
The Two Masters adds two weapons: Solitaire, a scythe for Yakumo suited to cutting through groups, and Jakotsumon, serpent gauntlets for Ryu designed for fast close-range combat and closing distance. Team NINJA announced the weapons in its February 25, 2026 Xbox Wire announcement.
The weapons and the DLC story have different access conditions. The official Steam update says DLC owners unlock the weapons immediately; if they have not cleared the tutorial, the weapons unlock from the Bloodsoaked Tokyo chapter. The expansion story itself requires finishing the base game. The Xbox Wire announcement said The Two Masters was included with the Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Upgrade and would be sold separately for USD $14.99 at its March 4, 2026 release; that announcement price and edition information are historical, not a guarantee of current store terms.
