To unlock Michael’s “Home Sweet Home” mission in GTA Online, own a Prix Luxury mansion, complete all five missions in Avi Schwartzman’s KnoWay Out strand, then wait in Freemode for Avi’s call and accept the mission invite on your phone. The call can take time; the available guides do not establish a reliable fixed wait.
Unlock “Home Sweet Home” step by step
- Buy one of the mansions. Rockstar says the A Safehouse in the Hills update adds three customizable mansions, available through the in-game Prix Luxury Real Estate website. Mansion ownership is listed as a prerequisite for the mission. Rockstar’s update notes confirm the properties; GTA BOOM’s guide describes the unlock requirement. Check the in-game listing for current prices.
- Complete the full KnoWay Out strand. Finish all five missions involving Avi Schwartzman. The mission guide places Home Sweet Home after the strand is complete. GTA BOOM’s guide
- Return to Freemode and wait for Avi. After meeting the prerequisites, Avi eventually calls and sends an invite. The call may not come immediately; no dependable universal timer is established by the available guides. GTA BOOM’s guide and the GTA Wiki reference
- Accept the invite on your phone. Use the mission invite Avi sends to start Home Sweet Home. GTA Wiki reference
One guide also says to enter your mansion and see the introduction scene with Michael and Amanda as part of unlocking the mission. If you have bought a mansion but have not done that introduction, complete it before continuing to wait for Avi’s invite. GTA BOOM’s guide

Avi has not called: what to check
- Confirm mansion ownership. Make sure you own a mansion bought through Prix Luxury Real Estate, rather than assuming that another property qualifies.
- Check KnoWay Out completion. Verify that all five missions in Avi’s strand are finished; starting the strand is not the same as completing it.
- Wait in Freemode. The invite is a follow-up call, and the guides do not give a fixed number of minutes to expect.
- Update the game and retry if progression remains blocked. Rockstar’s Title Update 1.72 notes document fixes for several issues that blocked progress in Home Sweet Home. Those fixes show that progression bugs existed and were addressed, but do not establish that every current issue has the same cause.
