To unlock The Final Verse (Quantum) in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, clear stone 100 of Pilgrim’s Traverse, complete the sidequest that follows, and register as a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic in a four-player party. The party leader starts the duty by speaking to Vanthau in Il Mheg and selecting at least 15 sacramental offerings.
Unlock The Final Verse (Quantum)
- Progress through Pilgrim’s Traverse and clear stone 100, its final area.
- Complete the sidequest that becomes available after the clear. The official English sources do not give this quest a name; the Patch 7.35 notes display it as “???”.
Those are the progression prerequisites. The duty itself requires a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic, but has no item-level requirement.
Register with Vanthau
- Form a party of four level 100 Disciples of War or Magic. Cross-world parties can register.
- Gather every party member in Il Mheg.
- Have the party leader speak with Vanthau at X:29.9, Y:6.0.
- Select “Invoke the Final Verse (Quantum)” and choose between 15 and 40 sacramental offerings.
The duty has a 90-minute time limit. Tufts of phoenix down cannot be used during the encounter.
Choose offerings and coffer tier
The five offering types are sacramental spirits, sacramental spices, sacramental grain, sacramental light, and sacramental lilies. The amount selected determines the coffer tier; offering type and quantity can also change boss behavior, statuses, and other fight variables. Rewards scale with the selected amount.

The player who selects the offerings is the only one who can open the coffer. Opening it consumes the selected offerings, so coordinate the amount and type with the party before the leader registers.

Completing the post-clear sidequest grants eight of each of the five offering types, for 40 total. Additional offerings may occasionally come from appraising Accursed Hoard pieces found in Pilgrim’s Traverse. The producer-letter transcript also identifies the market board as a source.
