Enter the Haunted Floating Festival by investigating the portal in the Plaza or by opening the Event tab and choosing Teleport. The festival is a temporary Floating Island, and its puzzles do not all appear at once. Once inside, return as new milestones unlock, collect any Valley-sourced items a clue requests, and work through the Haunted Mansion in sequence. Bedroom access requires two Haunted Key fragments that you combine into one key.
2026 event schedule at a glance
Gameloft’s official event announcement, published October 7, 2026, gives the following schedule. The dates are the published timetable for this event, not a permanent feature of the Valley.

| Milestone | Published availability | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Festival opens | October 7, 2026 | The Floating Island becomes accessible; returning challenges and the first Haunted Mansion puzzles are available. |
| Final Haunted Mansion mystery | October 18, 2026 | The final scheduled mystery, including the Ghost Hunt, becomes available. |
| Festival closes | October 31, 2026 | The temporary event window ends. |
The official announcement specifically tells players to return during the event because additional puzzles and rewards unlock on a schedule. A puzzle that is absent on your first visit may therefore be time-gated rather than broken.
How to reach the Haunted Floating Festival
Route 1: Plaza portal
- Travel to the Plaza in your Valley.
- Look for the portal associated with the Haunted Floating Festival.
- Interact with the portal and confirm the travel prompt.
- When the Floating Island loads, follow the event-area paths and inspect nearby clues, chests, statues and interactable objects.
Route 2: Event-tab teleport
- Open the game’s Event tab.
- Select the Haunted Floating Festival activity.
- Choose Teleport.
- Wait for the Floating Island to load, then begin with the available objectives shown in the area.
Both routes lead to the same temporary island. Teleport is useful when you are elsewhere in the Valley; the Plaza portal is useful when you are already passing through the central hub. Neither route requires a separate festival purchase according to the event instructions.

What to bring before solving anything
The island is not completely self-contained. The official announcement warns that some challenges require objects collected in the Valley. Do not discard a quest item simply because the clue appears on the Floating Island.
- Keep ordinary Valley materials and quest-related objects in storage until a puzzle is finished.
- Read the wording of each clue before leaving the island; it should indicate whether the next action is local or requires a Valley item.
- Leave enough inventory space for memory shards, pages, key fragments and furniture rewards.
- Return to the island after a scheduled unlock instead of assuming every objective is available on the opening day.
- If a door, chest or statue does not react, check whether the preceding sequence has been completed and whether the required item is in your inventory.
The most time-sensitive preparation concerns the ghostly critter route. A current Nux Game Guides walkthrough reports that the ghostly Zero fox gives one memory shard per day after being fed the required fish. If that report is accurate for your event instance, the four-piece memory sequence takes at least four separate days, so start it as soon as it appears.
All known puzzle paths and how they connect
The event combines five returning challenges with a larger Haunted Mansion sequence. The table separates independent activities from steps that unlock later mansion content.

Haunted Mansion walkthrough
1. Search for the two Haunted Key fragments
Enter the Haunted Mansion and investigate it rather than going directly to the bedroom door. The documented route uses several environmental interactions:
- Break the correct lion statues. Not every statue is necessarily part of the sequence, so use the mansion’s clues and inspect each candidate rather than destroying objects at random.
- Open the chests revealed by that search.
- Light the Jack-o’-Lanterns that the sequence points you toward.
- Follow the ghostly fox when it appears and continue checking the path it reveals.
- Collect both Haunted Key fragments.
The two fragments are separate quest objects. You cannot use one fragment as the bedroom key.
2. Combine the fragments and open the bedroom
- Open your inventory or the relevant quest-item interface once both fragments are collected.
- Combine the two fragments into a single Haunted Key.
- Return to the locked bedroom door in the mansion.
- Use the Haunted Key on the door to enter.
If the door remains locked, verify that the fragments were combined rather than merely collected, then retrace the statue, chest, Jack-o’-Lantern and fox steps. Bedroom access is the gate for the later hidden-basement route.

3. Solve the Haunted Library
Inside the mansion, follow the trail of spooky books. Each book belongs on a particular shelf, so carry the books back to their correct locations rather than placing them on the first open shelf. Completing the arrangement awards a Chomping Chest, according to the official event details.
The library is a placement puzzle, not a combat encounter. If a shelf rejects a book, leave it there, continue following the trail, and inspect the surrounding shelves for a visual or positional clue.
4. Complete Release the Curse
The Release the Curse sequence uses clues found in the mansion to solve a combination, recover the Missing Page and restore the magical book. The official reward named for completing this sequence is the Decorative Magic Seal.
One part of this progression is easy to confuse with the island’s returning Combination Pillar challenge. The Haunted House pillar has its own symbol order:
- Spiderweb
- Cat
- Bat
- Witch hat
Destructoid’s October 8 walkthrough identifies this as the mansion task. Solving it produces a Lost Magic Page and advances the larger curse sequence; it is not an immediate standalone event-prize screen. Keep the two pillar puzzles separate in your notes: similar-looking symbols do not mean they share a solution.
5. Find the secret basement
The official announcement confirms that a hidden key opens a basement beneath the Haunted Mansion and promises another furniture surprise. A current walkthrough supplies the practical route after the bedroom has been opened:

- Locate the lion statue holding a key.
- Use the Royal Pickaxe as directed by the interaction.
- Take the revealed key.
- Leave or move around to the outside basement entrance beneath the mansion.
- Use the key on that exterior entrance.
This is a discovery connected to the mansion, not a separate portal destination. If the statue interaction is unavailable, finish the bedroom gate first and check that you are using the Royal Pickaxe rather than a different tool.
The ghostly Zero fox and its four-day timing
The ghostly critter challenge is the one documented activity that can impose a real-world waiting period. Nux Game Guides reports the following sequence:
- Find the ghostly Zero fox in the festival area.
- Feed it a Haunted Skeleton Fish.
- Collect the memory shard it awards.
- Return on a later day and repeat the feeding and collection step.
- Continue until four memory pieces have been gathered.
The walkthrough says the fox awards one shard per day, making four separate days the minimum reported collection time. This detail comes from a secondary guide rather than Gameloft’s event announcement, so treat the in-game reward prompt as the final authority if your version behaves differently. Starting this activity early protects your remaining event days; postponing it can leave too little time to gather every piece before the island closes.

The Ghost Hunt is part of the final Haunted Mansion mystery scheduled in the event timetable. Its confirmed requirement is to find and photograph ten ghosts around the festival grounds. The official announcement says the reward is a new furniture item.
As of October 13, 2026, the available official material and walkthroughs did not document the ten individual locations or identify the furniture item. Do not rely on a purported complete location list published before the challenge is active. Once it unlocks in your game, use the event’s prompts and inspect the grounds methodically; photograph each ghost only after it is clearly framed and the game registers the shot. The missing location list is an evidence limit, not an indication that the challenge requires a hidden purchase or special tool.
A practical order for finishing the event
On your first visit
- Enter through the Plaza portal or Event-tab Teleport.
- Read every active clue and note whether it points to the Valley.
- Begin the Zero fox feeding sequence immediately if the ghostly critter puzzle is available.
- Start the Haunted Mansion search for statues, chests, Jack-o’-Lanterns and the fox trail.
- Keep all key fragments, pages and other quest objects until their sequence is complete.
During the early event window
- Return on separate days for the Zero fox memory shards.
- Finish the returning ghostly critter, combination, Terror-rific Tree, cauldron and haunted armor activities that are available to you.
- Combine the two Haunted Key fragments and open the bedroom.
- Complete the Haunted Library, Release the Curse and Haunted House pillar steps.
- Use the lion statue’s key and Royal Pickaxe route to investigate the basement.
After the final mystery unlocks
- Enter the newly available Ghost Hunt.
- Photograph ten ghosts around the festival grounds.
- Claim the furniture reward when the event recognizes all ten photographs.
- Finish any remaining island or mansion objectives before the event closes.
Troubleshooting stalled progression
A puzzle is not visible
Check the event timetable first. The festival adds content in stages, so an unavailable activity may simply have a later unlock. Leave and re-enter through Teleport after the relevant milestone rather than repeatedly interacting with an empty location.

A clue asks for an item you do not have
Search your Valley storage and quest inventory, then follow the clue’s wording back to the Valley. The event announcement explicitly warns that some challenges use Valley items; not every required object spawns on the Floating Island.

The bedroom door will not open
Confirm that you have collected both Haunted Key fragments and combined them into the Haunted Key. If one fragment is missing, retrace the mansion’s correct lion statues, chests, lit Jack-o’-Lanterns and ghostly-fox trail.
The pillar solution seems wrong
Identify which pillar you are solving. The Haunted House pillar uses spiderweb, cat, bat, witch hat and advances Release the Curse. The island’s returning Combination Pillar is a different puzzle with a different solution.
The basement entrance is inactive
Bedroom access comes first. After that, find the lion statue holding a key, use the Royal Pickaxe, and apply the key at the outside entrance. A normal interaction at another basement-looking object will not substitute for this sequence.
You may not finish the Zero fox sequence in time
Because the secondary walkthrough reports one memory shard per day, count the remaining event days and begin the feeding cycle immediately. Missing a daily visit can extend the collection beyond the time you have left.
What the published guides establish
The official Gameloft announcement establishes the two entry routes, the staged schedule, the warning about Valley items, the Haunted Mansion sequence, the two-fragment key, the library’s Chomping Chest, the Decorative Magic Seal for Release the Curse, the hidden basement discovery, and the Ghost Hunt’s ten-ghost requirement and furniture reward category. Nux Game Guides adds the reported daily Zero fox shard timing and practical basement route. Destructoid documents the Haunted House pillar order and distinguishes it from the island’s Combination Pillar. The exact Ghost Hunt locations and furniture identity were not documented in the material available on October 13, 2026.
