How to get an Ability Permit
Cooking is a Home ability that requires an Ability Permit. You can earn permits by upgrading Home abilities, or buy one from the Yardling Shop after your Home Ability Level reaches Lv. 10.

| Buy from the Yardling Shop | At Home Ability Level Lv. 10, open Yardling Shop > Ability Item > Others and purchase an Ability Permit. |
The purchase level and shop path are listed in the official update notes. Choose progression if you would rather earn a permit as you develop Home abilities; the shop route becomes available once you meet its stated level condition.

Unlock and use Cooking
- Use an Ability Permit to unlock Cooking via Posy.
- Equip the Sweet Traces ability outfit.
- Go to cookware in Home and activate Default: Cooking.
Unlocking the ability does not itself start cooking: Nikki needs the outfit equipped and cookware nearby. The official Home Cooking Gameplay Guide describes the ability and interaction.
Recipes, ingredients, and cooking progress
Find and develop recipes
Recipes can be unlocked by gaining Cooking levels, developing recipes, or tasting a dish at another stylist’s Home. Each dish uses one type of seasoning and three kinds of ingredients. You can get ingredients at Home or through other activities around Miraland.
Cook, serve, and improve dishes
Serving a dish grants Home Insight. Preparing the same dish five times unlocks Quick Cook; making it repeatedly also raises the chance of an exceptionally delicious result. The official guide says planted seasonings improve the chance of that result. Exceptionally delicious dishes sell for more and provide longer-lasting ability effects.
