The second Arcadion raid tier in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is AAC Cruiserweight Tier. To unlock its normal raids, reach level 100 as a Disciple of War or Magic, meet the 715 average item-level minimum, and progress the Chronicles of a New Era quest beginning with “Souls under Siege.” Savage requires further quest progression and higher, floor-specific item levels.
Which raid tier is the second one?
AAC Cruiserweight Tier is the second Arcadion raid tier in Dawntrail. The later Heavyweight Division was introduced in Patch 7.4, so Cruiserweight is the tier meant by “second raid tier.” Square Enix’s Patch 7.4 notes

How to unlock normal Cruiserweight
- Finish “The Neoteric Witch.” This is the preceding Arcadion quest, according to the community guide. AAC Cruiserweight Tier quest guide
- Be level 100 on a Disciple of War or Magic.
- Speak to Yaana in Solution Nine at X:22.2, Y:16.6, and accept “Souls under Siege.” These quest-giver details are reported by the community guide.
- Meet the 715 average item-level minimum. The official Patch 7.2 notes list level 100 and average item level 715 as normal entry requirements. Square Enix Patch 7.2 notes
- Continue the quest chain and clear floors in order. The next floor opens through continued quest progression and clearing the preceding floor; once unlocked, register through the Duty Finder.
The official notes state: “Players must first complete the Chronicles of a New Era quest ‘Souls under Siege.’” Normal raids are eight-player duties with a 90-minute time limit. Once unlocked, you can queue solo through the Duty Finder.
How to unlock Cruiserweight Savage
Savage is a separate difficulty and uses the Raid Finder rather than the Duty Finder. Complete the Cruiserweight quest chain first; the community guide names “The Lone Wolf” as its final quest. Then, as a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic, speak to Gabbro in Solution Nine at X:22.3, Y:17.1. AAC Cruiserweight Tier (Savage) quest guide
