What the Tekken 8 Spotlight is

The public announcement identifies the Lancer as the headline crossover car but does not publish a complete blueprint count, star requirement, or stage-by-stage reward chart. The live Spotlight interface is therefore the authoritative source for the exact requirements on your account. Use this workflow rather than relying on an unofficial number.

- Launch the game during the published Spotlight window. If the event is live for your platform and account, look in the main event hub for the tile labelled Tekken 8 Spotlight.
- Open the Spotlight and read the event overview. Check the reward preview, available stages, objective text, entry conditions, and any car or performance requirements shown on screen.
- Inspect every stage before spending resources. A stage may specify a required car, a race objective, or another condition. Read the requirement and the reward preview first so you do not spend Credits, Tokens, or upgrade materials on a stage you cannot enter.
- Enter the eligible races and complete the listed objectives. Event progress comes from the races and objectives displayed in the Spotlight. The announcement does not describe a separate code, login form, or external claim step.
- Collect the rewards from the event screen. When a stage or objective is complete, use the in-game claim control shown with that reward. Blueprint rewards must be claimed before they can contribute to the car’s progress.
- Check the garage after each blueprint milestone. Look for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Tekken 8 ED and verify whether the current blueprint total has unlocked the car or advanced its star progress. The exact gate is shown in your event and garage screens, not in the public patch notes.
If a stage is locked, the event screen should tell you what is missing. It may be a car requirement, an objective, or a progression condition. Follow that on-screen condition exactly; do not assume that owning one of the named crossover cars automatically unlocks every stage.

The calendar’s list should help you identify which cars to check in your garage, but it does not replace the stage requirement panel. A listed car can be part of the event’s content without being the reward for a particular race.

What rewards can the Spotlight give?
Gameloft’s Help Center says that events can award Credits, Tokens, Blueprints, Import Parts, and Card Packs. Car-launch events can also unlock a new car. The Tekken announcement confirms the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Tekken 8 ED as the crossover’s headline car, but it does not publish the exact quantity of each currency or item in every stage.

Read the reward preview on each stage before racing. That panel is the reliable place to see whether a completed objective pays a blueprint, currency, part, pack, or cosmetic item and whether a claim is still pending.
How to prioritize your event progress
Put Lancer blueprints ahead of optional upgrades
If your goal is the crossover car, record the Lancer blueprint requirement shown in the garage and compare it with each Spotlight reward preview. Complete stages that move that total first. A stage that pays a cosmetic item or general currency can still be worthwhile, but it does not substitute for the blueprint gate.
Check car requirements before using resources
Use the stage’s requirement panel as a decision checkpoint. If it asks for one of the event-calendar cars, verify that the car is in your garage and meets the displayed condition before buying upgrades or attempting the race. The calendar lists seven cars, but it does not state that all seven are required for every player.
Use the live timer as your planning tool
Work backward from the timer shown by the Spotlight. Start with stages that have a blueprint or unlock-related reward, then schedule the remaining objectives. Do not assume that an unclaimed reward will be delivered automatically after the event closes; claim completed rewards while the event interface is available.

Separate unlock progress from star-up progress
Once the garage shows that the Lancer is unlocked, additional blueprints may be applied to star progress rather than to the initial unlock. The game screen identifies the current milestone. Decide whether the next stage is helping you obtain the car or improve a car you already own before spending limited resources.
The Tekken-inspired crash and KO mode
The crossover also introduces a Tekken-inspired mode built around direct vehicle clashes. A match is best-of-three. You score a knockout by crashing into opponents, or you win the round by having the most life when the time limit expires. The mode is separate from the ordinary blueprint-accounting question: winning a match does not, by itself, establish a particular blueprint total unless the live event objective explicitly assigns one.
How a round is decided
- KO route: Crash into an opponent to score a knockout.
- Time-out route: If the timer expires first, the player with the most remaining life wins.
- Match format: The overall match is best-of-three, so a single round does not necessarily decide the result.
Read the mode’s own objective text before treating it as an efficient farming method. The announcement establishes the rules, but it does not publish a universal reward table for each win, loss, KO, or time-out result.
How to claim decals and other cosmetic rewards
The crossover decals feature Jin, Kazuya, Reina, Lili, and Yoshimitsu. When a decal appears in a completed-stage reward preview, claim it through the Spotlight’s reward control, then check the relevant customization area in your garage. The patch notes establish that these fighter-themed decals are included; they do not state that every decal is awarded at the same stage or that all are applied to every car.

If a decal is not visible immediately, return to the event reward panel and confirm that the reward was claimed rather than merely earned. Then check the car-customization screen for the eligible vehicle. The live game interface, not the calendar listing, determines whether a cosmetic item is available to a particular car.
Why the exact blueprint numbers are not listed
The public patch notes identify the event, its dates, the headline car, the decal theme, and the new mode. They do not include a stage-by-stage table with blueprint quantities, star gates, or car-performance thresholds. That omission matters: an article or social post that gives one fixed Tekken blueprint number without showing an official in-game source may be describing a different event state, account progression, or platform display.
Use the number beside the Lancer in your garage and the reward preview on each live stage as the definitive figures. If those screens change after an update, the current in-game values take precedence over an older announcement.

Troubleshooting the Spotlight
The event tile is missing
- Confirm that you are looking in the in-game event hub, not a separate browser page.
- Check the event timer and the game’s current date display against the published availability window.
- Make sure the game has finished applying the Brawl of the Deep update associated with the Spotlight.
- If the tile still does not appear while the event should be live, use the game’s normal support route and include your platform, account details requested by support, and a screenshot of the event hub.
A stage is locked
Open the stage card and read the lock message. It should identify the missing car, objective, or progression condition. Check the seven-car event lineup and your garage, but do not infer a requirement that the card does not display.

A reward is not in the garage
Return to the completed stage and look for an unpressed claim control. After claiming, check the garage’s blueprint count or customization inventory. A reward preview is not the same as a collected reward.
You cannot finish before the timer ends
Prioritize stages whose previews contain Lancer blueprints or an unlock-related milestone. Defer optional cosmetic or currency objectives until the required car and progression conditions are clear. The public announcement provides no extension or post-event redemption method, so do not plan around one.
What happens when the event closes?
The published Spotlight period ends on 11 November 2026. Before that point, collect every completed reward and verify your Lancer blueprint total in the garage. The announcement does not promise a grace period, late claims, or an external code after the event. Any rerun or post-event distribution would need a later Gameloft announcement; it is not part of the published unlock instructions.
