To travel across the No Man’s Sky teleportation network, interact with a Base Teleport Module, a Space Station Terminus, or the terminus aboard the Space Anomaly. Select a destination shown in the terminal and confirm. Network travel is free, but a player-built Base Teleport Module must be powered. The Short-Range Teleporter is a different device for local travel within a base.
How to travel with the teleportation network
- Go to a network terminal. Use a Base Teleport Module at a player base, a Space Station Terminus at a station, or the terminus aboard the Space Anomaly. The station and Anomaly terminals are already installed.
- Interact with the terminal. Browse the available destinations in its interface; destination categories can include stations and bases.
- Select a listed destination and confirm. The network connects you to known or registered locations, rather than letting you enter any arbitrary coordinates. Your active starship is reported to travel with you.
Network travel is described as free. You do not need to build a terminal at every destination base: according to the item reference, if the destination base has no teleporter, you arrive at its Base Computer. You will need a terminal at a location if you want to initiate network travel from there.
Which destinations can you reach?
Documented destinations include your bases, previously visited space stations, your freighter, and your settlement. Destination options depend on the terminal and eligibility. The Space Anomaly’s terminus is an outbound option; the Anomaly itself is not listed as a destination at other terminals.
Freighter access was added to the network over time. Hello Games’ Endurance update described direct travel to a freighter from a space station or planetary base terminus. Earlier, the Desolation update announced freighter teleport modules for travel among bases, stations, and the capital ship. The Foundation update introduced travel to and from a base using a space-station terminus.

If a base teleporter does not work
Check that the Base Teleport Module has power. A community-maintained item reference lists its power use as 20 kP, but detailed item figures may change with game updates; confirm the current requirement in-game.
The same reference lists the blueprint at the Construction Research Unit for 2 Salvaged Data, with a build recipe of 4 Metal Plating, 2 Carbon Nanotubes, and 40 Sodium. These are version-sensitive in-game costs, so check the current Construction Research Unit before gathering materials. See the Base Teleport Module reference.

Base Teleport Module vs. Short-Range Teleporter

A reported station restriction
A community-maintained network overview reports that a station in an outlaw system cannot teleport directly to a station in a non-outlaw system. Treat this as a specific reported restriction, not a complete list of every current network limitation. Other destination availability and interface details can also vary by game version.
