Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Menu labels and compatibility can change, so confirm them in the current app.
What “Live 3D” means here
Live 3D refers to Live3D, the creator software suite; this guide focuses on VTuber Maker, its webcam-based tracking application. It is not Live2D Cubism. VTube Studio’s documentation says that app supports Live2D Cubism models, not 3D VRoid or VRM models. If you have a 3D avatar, make sure the tracking software supports its format rather than following instructions for a 2D Live2D setup. VTube Studio’s getting-started guide and webcam-tracking documentation explain that distinction for VTube Studio.
Set up VTuber Maker and get your avatar on screen
The VTuber Maker manual describes webcam input, face, head, and upper-body tracking, optional audio-based lip-sync, a virtual-camera output, a background-free widget, and quick actions. Its retrieved copy is version 1.0; it does not establish that every menu label or compatibility detail remains unchanged. Use the current app UI as the final authority.
- Install and open VTuber Maker. Follow the installer and account prompts shown by the current Live3D app. A March 6, 2023 Streamlabs walkthrough described downloading and extracting the app, creating an account, and confirming an email, but those dated steps may no longer match the current release. See the historical Streamlabs walkthrough.
- Check webcam input and enable tracking. In VTuber Maker, turn on tracking and allow access to the webcam if the operating system or app requests it. The manual describes face, head, and upper-body tracking. Position yourself so your face is visible and your movement can be captured.
- Calibrate if movement does not look natural. The manual says to select “Calibrate” when the avatar does not match your natural state. Sit or stand in the posture you expect to use, face the camera, and calibrate from a neutral expression. If tracking remains erratic, first check camera selection, framing, and lighting before repeating calibration.
- Choose an avatar and scene. Select the model and presentation you want in the current app. The 2023 Streamlabs article described avatar, room/background, green-screen or plain-color, and pose options, but its avatar counts, availability, and plan details are historical, not reliable current inventory or pricing.
- Optionally enable voice-based lip-sync. The manual calls this “Audio Based Lipsync.” Turn it on if you want voice input to drive mouth movement. It is voice-based lip-sync, not speech recognition or transcript generation.
- Enable virtual-camera output. The manual labels the feature “Virtual Barodcast” (spelled that way in the manual) and says driver support is required. The name or location may differ in a current build. Enable the virtual broadcast/camera function and install or allow its driver if prompted.
- Select the virtual camera in your other app. Open the camera settings in the streaming or video-chat software you use and choose “VTuber Maker Virtual Camera” if that is the current device name. Your avatar should then appear as the camera feed. If it does not, check that the virtual-camera feature is enabled and that the receiving app is using that device rather than the physical webcam.
- Use optional widget and quick actions. The manual describes a background-free, always-on-top avatar widget and a Quick Action Panel for triggering actions. It also says key combinations can be found or adjusted in the options. Check the current UI for the relevant controls and shortcuts.
- Test privately before a public broadcast. Preview the output in your streaming or chat app. Check tracking, framing, scene/background, lip-sync if enabled, and camera selection before starting a public stream.
Webcam and tracking expectations
A webcam is the hardware category directly relevant to VTuber Maker’s documented tracking workflow; the manual does not establish that a particular premium camera is required. Framing and visible facial movement matter in practice, so start with the camera you have and assess tracking in the app before buying anything.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Do not transfer specifications from another application as if they were Live3D requirements. VTube Studio’s maintainer gives 1280×720 or higher and 15–30 fps as its own historical webcam-tracking guidelines; these are not VTuber Maker specifications. Live3D’s manual does not establish a minimum resolution or frame rate.
Common problems and fixes
- The avatar does not move: confirm tracking is enabled, the intended webcam is available to VTuber Maker, and the camera is not blocked or in use in a way that prevents access.
- Movement does not match your face or posture: use the app’s Calibrate control from a natural, centered position, as described in the manual.
- Your streaming or chat app shows the webcam instead of the avatar: select the VTuber Maker virtual camera as the camera input in that receiving app, and confirm virtual-camera output is enabled.
- The virtual camera is missing: the manual says virtual broadcast requires driver support. Check whether the current app asks you to install or enable its driver, then restart the affected apps if required by their prompts.
- The mouth does not move with your voice: check whether “Audio Based Lipsync” is enabled and whether the correct audio input is available to the app.
- The background or framing is wrong: check the selected scene and camera composition in VTuber Maker, then preview the routed virtual-camera feed in the receiving app.
Or let it run in the cloud
VTuber Maker handles a tracked avatar and virtual-camera output; it is not a way to keep a prerecorded YouTube video live. If your separate goal is a 24/7 YouTube channel built around uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay running at home; StreamNeo plays uploads as made, up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day on StreamNeo.
