Choose spirits for what you plan to do next—active clicking, idle production, or a specific in-game action—and account for each spirit’s drawbacks and the swaps needed to change your setup.
Unlock and open the Pantheon
- Spend a sugar lump to upgrade your Temples to level 1. That unlocks the Temple minigame, according to the Cookie Clicker Wiki’s Minigames page.
- Open the Temple’s minigame control to access the Pantheon. The minigame is attached to the Temple building.
Understand the slots and worship swaps
The Pantheon has three slots: Diamond, Ruby, and Jade. A spirit’s listed effect is strongest in Diamond, intermediate in Ruby, and mildest in Jade. Because spirits can also impose drawbacks, putting a spirit in Diamond is not automatically the best choice.
Placing a spirit in a slot costs one worship swap. Directly switching two spirits already in slots also costs one swap. The Cookie Clicker Wiki lists a maximum of three swaps, with the next refill taking 16 hours at zero swaps, 4 hours at one swap, and 1 hour at two swaps. The timer continues while you are offline. A sugar lump or ascending can refill swaps immediately. These are in-game mechanics reported on the Pantheon page.
- Plan changes around your next play session rather than rearranging spirits for every short-term whim.
- Keep a swap in reserve when you can; spending all three leaves you waiting for the refill unless you use a sugar lump or ascend.
Choose spirits for your next activity
There is no universally best arrangement. The useful setup depends on your progress, whether you are playing actively or idling, and how much you are willing to accept a spirit’s downside. The Cookie Clicker Wiki FAQ likewise describes the Pantheon as a way to tune play for different goals.

Active clicking and combos
Godzamok can boost clicking strength briefly based on the buildings you sell, making it a situational option for an active clicking burst. Weigh that temporary benefit against the buildings sold and the worship swap used to set up the spirit.
Idle production
Holobore and Mokalsium can suit passive-production strategies, but their usefulness depends on your stage of play and whether their tradeoffs fit your plans. Compare the spirit’s effect in each slot rather than assuming that its strongest slot is always right.

Golden-cookie clicking
Holobore’s listed base-CpS bonus has a significant condition: clicking a golden or wrath cookie unslots it and consumes available worship swaps, according to the Pantheon page. Avoid choosing it for a session in which you intend to click those cookies.
Situational actions
Some choices can be useful for a particular action, such as changing your setup around wrinklers or sugar-lump timing. Treat these as deliberate temporary changes: they still use swaps, so consider the refill schedule before making them.

Using the Pantheon on mobile
The wiki notes that touchscreen spirit-swapping in a mobile browser is not possible without mods, and says an external mouse can be used as a workaround. This note does not establish behavior across every current device, browser, or game version. An external mouse is only relevant if you encounter that specific mobile-browser limitation; it is not needed for ordinary desktop play.
