Verify an email on your Roblox account
- Sign in to the Roblox account. If you cannot sign in, use Roblox’s account recovery flow before trying to add an email.
- Open Settings. On the website, select the gear icon. In the mobile app, tap More (three dots), then Settings.
- Open Account Info.
- Select Add Email.
- Open the message Roblox sends to that address and follow its instructions to complete verification.
Roblox says adding an email can help you recover access if you forget your password. See its email and phone verification instructions.
If you already have an email on the account
Choose Update Email in Settings > Account Info, enter the new email address and your current Roblox password, then follow the message sent to the new address. Roblox says it notifies the previous email address that a change was made. The update procedure is described in Roblox’s verification help article.
If the verification email does not arrive
- Check your Spam or Junk folder.
- Add [email protected] to your email address book or contacts, then try again.
These are Roblox’s suggested steps when its verification message is missing.

Parent recovery email for an account under 13
A parent can verify a parental recovery email through Settings > Account Info on an account belonging to someone under 13. Roblox says this address can be different from the email on the parent’s linked Roblox account with parent privileges. See Roblox’s verification guidance.

A verified account email can be used to log in with the email address instead of the username. Roblox’s separate email one-time-code login is available only to some users, according to its one-time-code login instructions.

Roblox recommends 2-Step Verification as an added account-security measure and says a verified email is required to enable it. Keep verification messages distinct from email 2-Step Verification codes: the latter are login codes, not confirmation links for adding an address. Roblox’s 2-Step Verification troubleshooting guidance says email codes expire after 15 minutes. If a code fails, use Resend Code or Start Over to request a new one.
Never share a one-time login code. Roblox says it will never contact you to ask for one; if you receive an unexpected one-time-code email, Roblox says you can ignore it. See Roblox’s code-safety guidance.
