Winning as a killer in Forsaken means eliminating every survivor before the round’s survival timer expires. The reliable approach is not to chase the first player you see forever: find a contestable target, cut off the route they need, spend abilities only when they change the chase, and abandon losing pursuits before the rest of the team gets free time.
The official Roblox listing describes the role plainly: “KILLERS: Kill them all, leave no one left standing.” Survivors, meanwhile, complete objectives and stay alive until the timer reaches zero. Because the listing labels the experience as alpha, treat character rankings and detailed ability advice as current practice rather than permanent meta.

What a killer actually has to accomplish
Your score is not determined by how long you follow one survivor or how much damage you deal in a single chase. The round is won when every survivor is eliminated before survivors satisfy their timer-based survival condition. That makes time and pressure your central resources.
- Every chase has an opportunity cost. While you pursue one player, other survivors may be progressing objectives or positioning for a rescue and escape.
- A down or elimination is valuable because it reduces the team. A flashy hit that leaves the rest of the lobby untouched can be less useful than a short, controlled chase that forces a survivor away from an objective.
- The clock changes the value of risk. Early in a round, you can usually spend a little time learning routes. Near the end, a safe interruption may be more important than a perfect elimination attempt.
The official page also warns that the experience is in alpha and may include flashing lights and loud audio. Expect balance, maps, and ability behavior to change; check the current in-game descriptions before relying on an old tip.

Prepare before the round starts
Read the selected killer’s live kit
Open the ability descriptions for the killer you selected and identify what each button is supposed to change. A useful note has three entries for every ability: whether it closes distance, applies pressure, or removes an escape option. If an ability does none of those things in the current situation, save it.
Do not assume a community tier list proves that one killer has the best win rate. No published statistic in the available material establishes a verified killer win rate, damage comparison, or universally optimal build. Use rankings as suggestions for learning a playstyle, then confirm the actual kit in your match.
Choose one map and one role to learn at a time
Changing both your killer and your map every round makes it difficult to tell whether a mistake came from unfamiliar abilities or poor route knowledge. Spend a practice session learning the major crossings, corners, long sight lines, and dead ends on one map while using one killer. You are building a mental list of where a survivor can turn, hide, or be forced into a predictable exit.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minutePick a killer by the decisions you want to practice
An unofficial character guide gives the following broad descriptions. They are useful for matching a character to your preferred decisions, not proof of a permanent ranking:
| Choice axis | What the community guide suggests | How to use that information |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner accessibility | The Slasher is presented as straightforward. | Choose it when you want to concentrate on basic pursuit, spacing, and route cutting. Ease of learning can change with balance updates. |
| Direct pressure | c00lkidd is presented as a consistent pressure pick. | Use it to practice converting stamina and ability timing into shorter chases. This is not a published performance ranking. |
| Space control | John Doe is described as a zoning option. | Choose it if you enjoy denying areas and making the survivor’s safe route narrower. Verify what the current abilities actually control. |
| Tracking and attrition | Noli is described as tracking-focused, while 1x1x1x1 is described as attrition-oriented. | Pick these styles when you prefer information, sustained pressure, or wearing down escape options instead of only racing for immediate distance. |
These descriptions come from an unofficial, community-run ecosystem and can become outdated. The right test is whether the kit gives you a clear plan for the map and target you are facing.
Make the first contact count
- Scan before committing. As you approach a survivor, note the nearest corner, obstacle, choke point, and alternate exit. You are deciding whether the route can be contested, not merely whether the survivor is visible.
- Choose a target you can realistically reach. Favor a player whose path leads toward terrain you understand or an exit you can cut off. If the survivor immediately reaches a long, safe route and you have no ability that changes the distance, do not treat persistence as a virtue.
- Force a decision. Approach from an angle that makes the survivor choose between two imperfect routes. A direct line behind them often lets them select the safest corner before you can influence it.
- Reassess after the first exchange. If you gained distance, forced a turn, or made the survivor spend an escape resource, continue. If the chase pulled you far from useful terrain without progress, rotate away and look for a better contest.
This opening sequence implements the general guide’s advice to find a target quickly, cut routes, and avoid wasteful chases.

Control movement instead of simply following
Predict the destination
Survivors usually run toward a landmark, corner, objective area, or familiar loop rather than moving randomly. Watch their body direction and the geometry ahead. Aim for the place they need to reach, then arrive on the side that removes the safest continuation. Even a brief detour can make your pursuit shorter than running directly behind them.
Use corners and choke points
Corners hide your approach and reduce the survivor’s time to react. Narrow passages and doorways restrict the number of viable turns. Approach these areas with your camera and movement already aligned to the likely exit; arriving at the opening without a plan can let the survivor slip past you.
Do not overcorrect at every turn
Constantly mirroring a survivor’s exact path keeps you behind their decisions. Instead, identify the next meaningful junction and cut toward it. If the survivor reverses, you have forced information from them: they gave up distance to avoid the cutoff. Take the improved position rather than chasing the old line.
Use abilities only when they change the chase
Before pressing an ability, answer one question: What will be different immediately after it resolves? A good use closes a measurable gap, keeps a survivor from reaching a safe route, or creates pressure in a second location. Firing because the cooldown is available can leave you without the tool when the map finally gives you a decisive angle.
Distance-closing abilities
Use a movement or speed tool when the survivor is committed to a straight segment, has just turned, or is crossing a space with limited exits. Activating at a corner where they can instantly break line of sight may spend the effect without gaining contact.
Area and zoning abilities
Place control effects where the survivor must go, not where they were a moment ago. A zone that protects a junction or blocks the strongest exit can turn a wide route into a predictable one. If the survivor can simply walk around it without losing time, save the ability for a tighter location.

Tracking and information abilities
Information is most useful when it tells you which target to contest next or prevents a blind search. After receiving a location clue, choose the shortest route that reaches the target or cuts their likely destination. Do not spend the advantage wandering through terrain you have not learned.
Ability sequencing
Think in pairs: one action creates the approach and the next converts it into a hit or forced turn. If the first ability does not improve your position, do not automatically spend the second. Preserve a tool for the moment the survivor reaches a corner, runs low on stamina, or commits to an objective.
Stamina is a timing resource
Stamina advice is situational rather than universal. A survivor who has just spent stamina may be unable to change direction or reach a distant exit; a killer who spends everything on the approach may lose the ability to finish. Watch both movement patterns and the terrain before committing to a burst.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Use normal movement while you are cutting toward a junction or gathering information.
- Spend a burst when the survivor’s route is constrained and the extra distance will produce contact.
- If both players are nearly out of stamina, favor the action that wins the next close-range exchange rather than starting a long rotation.
- After a failed burst, stop and reset your route instead of spending another resource to defend a poor position.
c00lkidd: a concrete, attributed example
A community commenter discussing c00lkidd recommends using Corrupt Nature at close range when both the survivor and killer are low on stamina. The same advice suggests using Walkspeed Override selectively to close distance, and generally not activating it at close range unless both players are already low on stamina. This is player advice, not a tested universal rule; ability behavior and balance can change.
That commenter also cautions against using Pizza Delivery immediately at round start. The recommendation is to wait until the ability serves a clear pressure purpose. Spawned bots can be stunned or killed, so do not assume they will create reliable long-term pressure. Check the current descriptions and behavior in your match before copying any sequence.
The transferable lesson is broader than c00lkidd: reserve a speed tool for a distance problem, reserve a close-range tool for a stamina or escape problem, and avoid spending a conspicuous ability before survivors have committed to a route.

Decide when to abandon a chase
Use this decision tree whenever a pursuit begins to consume time:
- Did you gain ground or remove an exit? If yes, continue toward the next cutoff.
- Can the survivor reach a known safe route before your next ability? If yes, estimate whether the route still favors you. If not, rotate.
- Are you moving farther from the rest of the map without a down? If yes, break off unless the survivor is one action from being caught.
- Did the survivor spend a major resource? If yes, you may have created enough pressure to switch targets and return later, even without an immediate hit.
- Is the timer changing the calculation? Near its end, a forced interruption or objective denial can be preferable to beginning another long chase.
Abandoning a chase is not conceding the round. It is exchanging a low-probability pursuit for a position where your next contact has better geometry.
Keep pressure on the whole survivor team
The killer’s objective is team-wide, so avoid tunnel vision. When a survivor reaches terrain that nullifies your current tools, look for the next target or route that can be contested. A short appearance can force a survivor away from an objective even when you do not commit to a full chase.
Use landmarks to remember where you last saw each player and which areas have already cost you time. Returning with a different angle, a refreshed ability, or better information is more productive than repeating the same approach. Pressure is measured by the choices survivors lose, not just by the number of seconds you spend behind one avatar.

Memorize junctions first
Start with the places where a survivor can choose two or more directions. These are the points where a cutoff changes the outcome. Mark which approach gives you visibility and which approach leaves you trapped behind an obstacle.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Identify dead ends and long lanes
Long lanes are useful for a deliberate distance-closing ability but dangerous when the survivor has an early turn available. Dead ends are valuable only if you reach the entrance before the survivor; arriving late can put you on the wrong side of the same trap.

Practice the same route repeatedly
Run the map with one role until you can predict the next exit without stopping to look. Then introduce a second killer and note which abilities alter that prediction. This isolates map knowledge from kit knowledge and makes mistakes easier to diagnose.
Common killer mistakes and precise fixes
| Mistake | What it costs | Fix for the next round |
|---|---|---|
| Chasing the first survivor indefinitely | Other survivors receive uncontested time and you may end up in poor terrain. | Set a checkpoint: if you have not gained ground or removed an exit after the next junction, rotate. |
| Following directly behind | The survivor controls every turn and reaches safe corners first. | Predict the next landmark and cut toward its exit. |
| Using abilities on cooldown | Your strongest tool is unavailable when a real opening appears. | State the intended result before activating: distance, pressure, or escape denial. |
| Ignoring stamina | You arrive at close range unable to finish or escape a reversal. | Spend stamina in short, purposeful bursts and preserve a response for the next corner. |
| Changing killers and maps every match | You cannot tell whether a loss came from unfamiliarity or a bad decision. | Practice one killer on one map for a focused session. |
| Trusting an old tier list | Alpha balance changes can invalidate a ranking or ability interaction. | Read the current in-game descriptions and retest the interaction. |
Review one decision after every round
Do not attempt to correct everything at once. Write down the first moment your pressure disappeared and classify it:
- Target choice: you selected a route that could not be contested.
- Route knowledge: you did not know the next junction or exit.
- Ability timing: the tool was used before the survivor committed.
- Overcommitment: you continued after the chase stopped improving.
Choose one category for the next round and make one observable change, such as rotating at the next junction or waiting for a corner before activating a speed tool. The community guide’s recommendation to learn one map and role at a time works because it gives each adjustment a clear test.

Because Forsaken is labeled alpha, patch changes can alter cooldowns, hit ranges, map geometry, and the value of a route. When an update arrives:
- Read every ability description again rather than relying on memory.
- Check whether familiar landmarks, doors, or choke points moved.
- Test one ability in a low-pressure situation to learn its current distance and timing.
- Reevaluate community character labels as descriptions, not guarantees.
- Keep only advice that still produces the intended result in the live game.
No available source establishes a tested percentage for killer success, a guaranteed route, or a developer-endorsed tier list. A repeatable process—contestable target, controlled route, deliberate ability, timely disengagement, and one post-round correction—is therefore more durable than chasing a claimed “best” build.
Quick Recap
A repeatable round plan
- Before spawning: read the current kit and choose the map landmarks you want to use for cutoffs.
- At first contact: decide whether the target’s route can be closed and identify the next junction.
- During pursuit: move toward the destination, use corners and choke points, and activate abilities only for a stated purpose.
- At the checkpoint: continue if you gained distance or denied an exit; rotate if the chase is pulling you away without progress.
- Across the round: apply short bursts of pressure to the team instead of giving one survivor unlimited attention.
- After the result: name one lost-pressure category and practice that single correction next round.
