Close non-essential background software
Exit non-essential apps and overlays, then retry the game. Steam warns that other software can interfere with Steam or games. Do not permanently disable antivirus or other security protections. Check Windows and Steam support together
The game’s store listing contains older Windows requirement text. Separately, Steam says its client supports Windows 10 and later starting January 1, 2024.
