How the five-round Hurdle works
The first round begins with a word guess. The game marks letters that are correct and in the right position, letters that are in the answer but misplaced, and letters that are not in the answer. Solving a round advances you to the next one, where the word you just solved becomes the first guess.
In the final round, the earlier answers appear with correct and misplaced letters indicated. The guide cautions that the number of times a letter is highlighted in previous guesses does not necessarily tell you how many times that letter occurs in the final answer.

Make sure you have the right Hurdle game
This page covers the five-round Hurdle puzzle. A separate game called Word Hurdle uses six-letter words and had two puzzles on January 10, 2026: CHAPEL for puzzle 2909 and KETTLE for puzzle 2910.
