How the five Hurdle rounds connect
In the five-round format described in Mashable’s October 16, 2025 answer guide, each solved word carries forward as the first guess in the next round. The earlier answers also provide clues on the final board. The guide cautions that repeated highlighted letters do not necessarily indicate how many times a letter appears in the answer. Mashable’s October 16, 2025 Hurdle guide, carried by Yahoo Tech, provides that day’s hints and answers.
Arkadium’s currently published rules describe a daily Hurdle with five five-letter puzzles, six guesses for each of the first four words, and two guesses for the final word. The final board uses the earlier words. These are the current rules on Arkadium’s support page, not a confirmation of the exact guess limits in effect on October 16, 2025.
