There is no confirmed current standalone HyperX Alloy FPS Pro driver package or updater URL to download. The keyboard normally uses Windows’ standard USB HID keyboard driver. If Windows does not detect it, work through the physical connection, Windows device checks, Game Mode, and HyperX’s NGENUITY compatibility guidance before attempting a reset. HyperX’s published current and Legacy NGENUITY keyboard lists do not name Alloy FPS Pro, so installing the newest NGENUITY release cannot be promised to add support.
What a “driver update” means for the Alloy FPS Pro
The Alloy FPS Pro is a wired mechanical keyboard with a Mini-USB connector. For ordinary typing, Windows supplies the keyboard-class HID driver automatically; you generally do not need a separate model-specific .exe just to make the keys work. Firmware and lighting features are a different matter: those depend on HyperX software and on whether HyperX lists this exact model as compatible.

That distinction prevents a common mistake. A download labelled for Alloy FPS RGB, Alloy Origins, or another Alloy model is not an Alloy FPS Pro driver. Installing the wrong updater can fail, leave the keyboard unchanged, or create a harder-to-diagnose state.
First verify that the keyboard is really an Alloy FPS Pro
Read the model name on the keyboard’s packaging, underside label, or purchase record. HyperX support separates Alloy FPS Pro from Alloy FPS RGB and the Alloy Origins family. Do not use an FPS RGB or Origins firmware file because the names look similar but the hardware and software support can differ.

Manual troubleshooting sequence
1. Connect the Mini-USB cable directly
- Unplug the keyboard from the computer.
- Disconnect hubs, monitor USB pass-through ports, KVM switches, and extension cables while testing.
- Plug the Mini-USB end firmly into the keyboard and the USB-A end directly into the computer.
- Try a different USB port, preferably one on the computer itself. HyperX’s own troubleshooting guidance specifically recommends another port when a device does not appear.
- If possible, test a known-good Mini-USB data cable. Some replacement cables provide power but have damaged or missing data conductors.
Watch for Windows’ connection sound and test the keyboard in a text field. If it works in one port but not another, the immediate fault is the port, hub, or cable path rather than a missing keyboard package.
2. Check whether only the Windows key is affected
Press Fn+F12 once, then test the Windows key. HyperX documents this shortcut as the Game Mode toggle. Game Mode disables the Windows key, so this symptom alone does not justify a firmware download or driver removal. If the rest of the keyboard types normally, leave Game Mode off when you need the Windows key.

3. Let Windows refresh its standard keyboard device
- Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards and also inspect Human Interface Devices for a newly appearing USB input device.
- Unplug the keyboard, note which entry disappears, then reconnect it and see whether the entry returns.
- If an entry has a warning icon, right-click it, choose Uninstall device, confirm, and restart Windows. Reconnect the keyboard after the restart so Windows can enumerate it again.
- In Device Manager, use Action > Scan for hardware changes if the device does not reappear automatically.
Do not delete unrelated HID devices while troubleshooting. If the keyboard never appears on any direct port, test it on another Windows computer. That comparison separates a computer-side USB problem from a keyboard, cable, or connector fault.

Open Settings > Windows Update and install applicable updates, then restart. Windows Update may refresh USB and HID components, but it is not evidence that a model-specific Alloy FPS Pro package exists. Avoid driver-download sites that offer an unverified executable or a file whose model name is Alloy FPS RGB or Alloy Origins.

5. Verify NGENUITY support before installing or reinstalling it
HyperX’s NGENUITY page separates the current NGENUITY release from NGENUITY Legacy (2020–2025); both are Windows-only. The published current keyboard list does not include Alloy FPS Pro. HyperX’s compatibility page lists Alloy FPS RGB and several Alloy Origins models under Legacy, but Alloy FPS Pro is absent from both displayed lists.
Therefore, do not install NGENUITY solely on the assumption that it will expose the Alloy FPS Pro. If you already use the app and the keyboard is missing, follow HyperX’s published sequence:

- Check the compatibility list for the exact model name.
- Check whether HyperX offers a firmware update for that model.
- Try another direct USB port.
- Reinstall NGENUITY only if the preceding checks indicate that the app should support the device.
Reinstalling an app cannot create support that HyperX has not published. If the keyboard works for typing but never appears in NGENUITY, treat that as an official-support limitation until HyperX adds the model to a compatibility list.
6. Do not guess at firmware files or versions
No exact current Alloy FPS Pro firmware version or official updater URL is established here. Do not use an unofficial firmware archive, a file shared in a forum, or an updater intended for another Alloy model. Firmware flashing can permanently interrupt device operation if the package does not match the hardware.

If HyperX Support later publishes an Alloy FPS Pro updater, verify all of the following on that official page before running it:
- The page names Alloy FPS Pro, not merely “Alloy” or another FPS model.
- The download is intended for your Windows edition and provides release notes or installation instructions.
- The keyboard is connected directly through its Mini-USB cable and will not be unplugged during the update.
- You have closed other keyboard-configuration utilities that might try to communicate with the device.
7. Use a factory reset only after connection and compatibility checks
Reset is a later diagnostic step, not a substitute for identifying the model or checking the cable. HyperX’s reset documentation carries this exact warning:
“Note: all custom LED profiles will be lost!”
Record or photograph any lighting settings you want to recreate. Follow the reset procedure in the Alloy FPS Pro article in HyperX Support Center for your model; do not substitute a reset sequence from an Alloy FPS RGB or Origins article. After resetting, reconnect directly and test basic typing before trying software again.

Choosing the correct next action
- Works in Windows, Windows key disabled: toggle Game Mode with Fn+F12.
- Works in Windows, absent from NGENUITY: confirm the published compatibility lists; do not force an updater when Alloy FPS Pro is not listed.
- Not detected on one port: use another direct port and a known-good Mini-USB data cable.
- Not detected on any computer: suspect the cable, Mini-USB socket, or keyboard hardware and seek model-specific support.
- Custom lighting is wrong after reset: recreate profiles; the reset warning means the previous custom LED profiles were erased.
When a replacement cable is the sensible fix
Because the keyboard uses Mini-USB, a replacement must be a Mini-USB data cable, not a charge-only lead. Check the connector for looseness and inspect the cable for kinks or intermittent disconnects. A cable swap is a lower-risk test than installing an unknown firmware utility. If movement of the plug repeatedly disconnects the keyboard, avoid stressing the socket and arrange hardware service or replacement.
