Hytale’s early access release date was January 13, 2026. The Hytale Team announced that date on November 28, 2025, and the game launched as planned. So “coming next week” describes the announcement’s timing then—not a future release now.
When was Hytale’s early access release date announced?
The Hytale Team announced on November 28, 2025 that Hytale would enter early access on January 13, 2026. Its announcement also said pre-purchases would open December 13, 2025. Read the announcement on Hytale’s official site.
The studio’s announcement followed a project revival. According to the team, Hytale’s original founders had repurchased the cancelled project, returned to an older legacy build, and stepped away from a newer engine rewrite. The studio said it merged more than 300 GitHub branches into a working branch; it also cautioned that parts of the game would feel behind because the legacy build had originally been intended for prototypes.
Did Hytale actually launch on that date?

The team described the release as “unpolished and incomplete,” with many features still missing and bugs expected. It also warned that launch week could be bumpy after demand exceeded expectations. Early access therefore marked the start of a playable development phase, not a claim that the game was finished.
How long will Hytale stay in early access?
Hypixel Studios’ official FAQ does not give an end date. It says the studio plans to continue early access until the game feels fully polished and ready for release.

The store information cited here does not establish current regional prices or edition inclusions, so check the live listing for the region and edition you intend to buy.
