Look for Redwood Trees in grassy areas of a cold biome, especially taiga regions. Hytale Update 4 says a world-generation change should make redwood biomes appear within taiga portal worlds, but that is not a promise that every seed has one nearby. If your world allows it, Update 5’s /locate command can help search for a biome and return coordinates or teleport you there.
Where to find Redwood in Hytale
Game8’s guide places Redwood Trees in grassy areas of a cold biome. Official Hytale Update 4 notes add that a world-map density change “should result in redwood biomes appearing within taiga portal worlds.” Together, these point to cold, grassy and taiga areas as the most useful places to search, not to a fixed coordinate or guaranteed location.
Biome placement depends on world generation, and the notes do not establish that every seed contains Redwood near the player. If you are exploring manually, travel through cold regions and check grassy terrain for the trees.
Use /locate to search, if available
Hytale Update 5 says /locate works with biomes, zones, regions and prefabs. Use it to search for a biome and get coordinates or teleport if your game and server permit that action. The patch notes do not give a Redwood-specific command string, so do not assume a particular argument or that teleporting is enabled. Server permissions may also restrict command use.

What Redwood Logs are used for
Game8 reports two uses: Redwood Logs can be used for Farmer’s Workbench upgrades, and a Builder’s Workbench can refine them into Redwood Planks. The available source does not establish recipe ingredients, quantities or workbench tier requirements, so check the current in-game workbench recipes for those details.
Can you grow Redwood Trees?
Update 4 says tree seeds can be crafted at the Farming Bench and planted to grow in stages. Update 6 fixed a general sapling-growth issue that occurred when roots did not have enough room. These notes do not identify a Redwood seed recipe or tier; leave adequate space around a planted sapling and consult the current game recipe rather than assuming a specific Redwood seed or growth requirement.

If Redwood blocks do not drop the expected items
Update 5 says Redwood blocks now drop the correct items when broken. If you are playing an older build and the drops seem wrong, the issue may relate to that earlier behavior. Patch notes describe the change for that update; later builds may differ.
