The ID@Xbox Showcase held with IGN Fan Fest on February 24, 2025, featured announcements and updates for 22 games. The slate ranged from new reveals and story trailers to release dates and Xbox Game Pass news. The dates and subscription details below are what Xbox announced at the time; they do not confirm each game’s current release status or Game Pass availability.
What was announced at the February 2025 ID@Xbox Showcase?
Xbox Wire’s February 24 recap covered 22 games or game updates. It included exact release dates, seasonal or yearly windows, new trailers, and Game Pass announcements. The list below keeps those announcement types distinct: a trailer or platform reveal is not the same as a confirmed launch date.
Release dates and Game Pass announcements
- 33 Immortals: Announced for March 18. The co-op action roguelike features parties of up to 33 players battling monsters and bosses.
- Balatro: Xbox Wire said the roguelike poker game joined Game Pass that day and was headed to Windows PC. The recap also highlighted a Friends of Jimbo collaboration update with themed cards.
- Blue Prince: Announced for April 10 on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with a day-one Game Pass launch. Its systems combine exploration, puzzles, mapmaking, and card-game elements.
- Descenders Next: Announced for April 9 with Game Pass. The downhill sports game adds snowboarding and mountainboarding to the series.
- Revenge of the Savage Planet: Announced for Xbox on May 8, with Game Pass availability on day one.
- Tempopo: Announced for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on April 17, with a day-one Game Pass launch.
- Tron: Catalyst: Announced for Xbox Series X|S on June 17.
Games announced with a season or year window
- Herdling: New gameplay was shown, with Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC named and a summer launch window announced.
- Hotel Barcelona: The 2.5D action-platformer from Suda51 and Swery received an Xbox announcement trailer and a 2025 window.
- Jump Ship: Announced for Xbox Game Preview early access in summer. The cooperative, one-to-four-player FPS moves between spaceship and on-foot sections.
- The Lonesome Guild: Don’t Nod’s game had its world premiere, with Xbox Series X|S and a fall window named.
- Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault: Announced for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Game Pass in 2025.
- Outbound: Announced for Xbox Series X|S in 2026. The open-world exploration game centers on building out a camper van.
- Ratatan: Announced for Xbox in 2025. The rhythm-strategy roguelike supports co-op for up to four players.
- Rockbeasts: Its world premiere introduced a rock-band management game, with Xbox Series X|S and a 2025 window named.
- Tanuki: Pon’s Summer: Announced for late 2025 and Game Pass.
- Wax Heads: Announced for Xbox Series X|S in summer 2026.
Reveals and trailer updates without a specific launch date
- Buckshot Roulette: Announced as coming to Xbox and Game Pass; the recap did not give a release date.
- Echo Weaver: Revealed for Xbox and Game Pass. Xbox Wire described it as a time-looping “Metroidbrainia”; no launch timing was listed in the recap.
- Lies of P: Overture: A new story trailer offered a closer look at the DLC expansion. The recap did not announce a release date in this entry.
- Ultimate Sheep Raccoon: A new trailer announced Game Pass at release, and the recap showed an eight-player mode. It did not specify a release date.
- Woodo: A new story trailer showed the game’s 3D puzzle approach, and Xbox Series X|S was announced as a platform. No date was listed.
How to read the announcement slate
The showcase mixed different kinds of news rather than announcing a release date for every game. Some entries had a specific day, others only a season or year, and several were reveals or trailer updates without a date in Xbox Wire’s recap. Game Pass news appeared across both date-specific launches and broader announcements; the recap’s wording records what Xbox said on February 24, 2025, not what is currently in the catalog.
