IKEA’s Xbox-inspired YXSTABY furniture collection launched in stores on October 1, 2026. IKEA Fishers lists a separate YXSTABY Gaming Event Weekend for October 10–11, 2026. The collection has nine pieces designed for gaming in everyday home spaces, but the Fishers listing does not confirm event activities or local product stock.
What is the IKEA Xbox gaming furniture collection?
YXSTABY is a nine-piece collection developed by IKEA and Xbox. Its premise is to make gaming furniture feel at home in shared living spaces, including when a gaming session is over. IKEA describes gaming as “an essential part of everyday life for more than 3 billion people,” a figure from its own announcement rather than an independently identified study.

Philip Dilé, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden, said the goal was “to make furniture people really want in their home, not furniture they accept because it is what you need to game.” The announcements describe design intent; they do not establish measured comfort, ergonomics, or gaming performance.

What’s in the YXSTABY collection?
The nine pieces cover seating, device support, mobile furniture, and Xbox-inspired display or decor:
| Use | Pieces | What the announcements establish |
|---|---|---|
| Seating | Gaming lounge chair; thumbstick stool | The stool’s design takes inspiration from an Xbox controller thumbstick. |
| Mobile furniture | TV stand on castors; side table on castors | IKEA describes the TV stand as mobile and says it has rear storage for gaming gear. |
| Device support | Monitor stand; laptop support with storage and accessories | These pieces provide support for a monitor or laptop; the announcements do not provide performance comparisons. |
| Controller-inspired decor and display | D-pad cushion; D-pad controller platter; controller display box | The D-pad inspired a cushion and a stainless steel platter; the collection also includes a display box for a controller. |
Xbox design elements are translated into household objects: the D-pad and thumbstick inform several pieces rather than the collection being limited to conventional gaming desks and chairs. Carl Ledbetter, Head of Design at Xbox Devices, said the aim was for the pieces to celebrate Xbox design while fitting everyday living spaces.
