Where Illusion Prism drops
The confirmed source is the Manipulator boss on Hollow Island. Manipulator is the game’s Aizen reference, so players and community guides may call the fight the “Aizen boss.” That nickname does not identify a separate enemy or a second drop table.

Hollow Island is described by the Sailor Piece wiki as the sixth island recommended for grinding. The boss, island, item, and trainer entries all connect Illusion Prism farming to Hollow Island. You do not need to search ordinary island mobs for the item: the listed source is the Manipulator boss.

- Open a teleporter. Use the game’s teleporter interface rather than sailing around looking for the island.
- Select Hollow Island. Confirm the destination name before traveling. This is the operational location used by the wiki’s Manipulator and trainer pages.
- Find Manipulator. Look for the boss associated with the Aizen reference. If the boss is not present, its listed respawn interval is five minutes.
- Defeat the boss. Illusion Prism is a random reward from the Manipulator fight, not a guaranteed result of winning.
- Wait for the next spawn and repeat. Return to the boss area after the five-minute interval, defeat Manipulator again, and continue until the prism appears.
- Count your prisms before leaving. Keep six if the Manipulator Sword is your goal; one prism is not enough for that unlock.
Drop chance, respawn time, and realistic expectations
The cited boss table lists “Illusion Prism (8%)”. In practical terms, every successful kill is an attempt with a relatively low chance of producing the item. An 8% roll does not mean one prism will appear within 12 or 13 kills, and it does not create a guaranteed drop after a certain number of failures.

For a simple planning estimate, if each kill were an independent 8% roll, the chance of seeing at least one prism after n kills would be 1 − 0.92n. That is probability math, not a promise about an in-game pity system. It gives these approximate benchmarks:

These figures explain why two players can have very different sessions. A community guide published by Karan Singh at TechWiser on April 17, 2026 notes that a player might get lucky in the first few kills or need 10–20 attempts before seeing one. That experience is consistent with an 8% random drop, but it is not evidence of a guaranteed threshold.
The five-minute interval also makes the farm time-gated. If you defeat a boss immediately after it spawns and stay for the next one, nine intervals separate ten completed fights—about 45 minutes of respawn waiting, before adding travel, combat, menus, or delays. Treat that as a timing calculation, not a guaranteed session length: your first spawn, server timing, and time spent fighting can change it.

Hollow Island or Hueco Mundo?
Search results can produce two names. One third-party guide dated March 25, 2026 calls the destination Hueco Mundo, while the Sailor Piece wiki’s boss, island, trainer, and item pages consistently use Hollow Island. For the actual in-game route, select Hollow Island in the teleporter.

If an old video or guide sends you to Hueco Mundo, compare its labels with the teleporter interface and the current boss listing. The consistent Hollow Island references are the stronger operational signal in the cited material.
How many Illusion Prisms the Manipulator Sword needs
The Manipulator Trainer’s requirement list includes six Illusion Prisms. Do not spend the first prism elsewhere if you are collecting for the sword; continue the Manipulator farm until your inventory contains all six.

The same trainer list names the other materials and costs required for the unlock:
- 6,000,000 money
- 10,000 gems
- One Hogyoku Fragment
- Three Reiatsu Cores
- Ten Mirage Pendants

The trainer is located at Hollow Island. Once you have the complete list, travel to the Manipulator Trainer and check the requirements in the game’s interaction screen. The prism count alone does not complete the sword unlock.
A practical farming routine
Before the first kill
- Make sure your teleporter menu displays Hollow Island.
- Clear enough inventory space to keep multiple prisms and the other materials you are gathering.
- Record your current prism count so you can measure progress toward six.
- Plan around the five-minute boss interval instead of assuming continuous spawns.
During each cycle
- Travel to Hollow Island and go to the Manipulator area.
- Defeat Manipulator and check your inventory for an Illusion Prism.
- Note the kill in a simple counter. A counter prevents you from mistaking a long dry streak for a missing item or forgetting how many attempts you have made.
- Stay near the boss area or return when the five-minute interval has elapsed.
- Repeat until you reach six prisms, then verify the remaining trainer requirements.
When the drop finally appears
Keep farming if you need more than one prism. The objective for the Manipulator Sword is six, so stopping after the first successful roll leaves five more required. Check the trainer’s full requirement list before spending money, gems, or other materials on unrelated upgrades.

Common problems and what they mean
Manipulator is missing
The listed spawn interval is five minutes. A missing boss can therefore mean you arrived between spawns or another cycle has just ended. Wait for the interval and check the same boss location again.
You defeated Manipulator but received no prism
That is an expected result of an 8% drop table. The chance applies to each attempt; it is not a guaranteed reward. Continue the cycle rather than treating one unsuccessful kill as a route failure.

The confirmed source is Hollow Island. Return to a teleporter and select that destination, then look for Manipulator. The available material does not establish another island boss that drops Illusion Prism.

A guide says Hueco Mundo
Hueco Mundo is the alternate label used by one March 25, 2026 guide. The consistent wiki entries identify Hollow Island, so use Hollow Island in the teleporter and treat the other name as search confusion unless a future game update changes the labels.
You have six prisms but cannot unlock the sword
Six prisms are only one part of the trainer’s list. Check for 6M money, 10,000 gems, one Hogyoku Fragment, three Reiatsu Cores, and ten Mirage Pendants, then speak with the Manipulator Trainer at Hollow Island.
What is not confirmed about the drop
The available tables establish the boss, location, 8% listed chance, and five-minute interval. They do not establish a pity counter, a maximum number of failed attempts, a luck-stat modifier, a damage contribution requirement, a trading route, or a second source. Do not plan your farm around any of those mechanics unless a current Sailor Piece update or an authoritative game entry documents them.
Boss tables and trainer requirements can change after major Sailor Piece patches. If the teleporter label, boss table, or trainer screen differs in your version, use the in-game labels and recheck the current wiki entries before committing to a long farming session.
