GamesBeat reported the claim on April 2, 2025, but its story describes the milestone as unique viewers—not one million separate streams—and the reporting does not independently verify an all-time ranking.
What does “1 million-plus streams” mean?
The headline’s “streams” wording is imprecise. GamesBeat’s April 2, 2025 report, updated June 18, attributes the record claim to Immutable but describes the audience as “over one million unique viewers.” A unique-viewer count represents people or accounts counted as viewers under the platform’s measurement; it is not the same as the number of broadcast sessions, total views, or hours watched. GamesBeat does not provide the underlying data export or explain the timeframe and methodology for that count. GamesBeat’s report quotes Immutable president Robbie Ferguson saying RavenQuest had “over one million unique viewers.”

What other launch and first-week numbers were reported?
The figures reported for RavenQuest’s March 2025 launch use different measures and time windows. They should not be read as equivalent counts or combined into a single audience total.
| Measure | Reported figure | Source and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Unique viewers | More than 1 million | Immutable’s claim, relayed by GamesBeat; the timeframe and counting method are not stated. |
| Concurrent Twitch viewers | More than 8,200 within one hour of launch | GamesBeat’s March 2025 launch-period reporting; a simultaneous audience measure. |
| Twitch MMORPG ranking | Top four on launch day | GamesBeat’s report; this is a category ranking, not an all-Web3-games ranking. |
| Hours watched | 493,000 in the first week | NFT News Today’s April 3, 2025 secondary report. |
| Peak concurrent viewers | 9,292 in the first week | NFT News Today’s secondary report; the highest simultaneous viewer count stated for that period. |
| Players | 77,445 in the first week | NFT News Today’s secondary report. |
| Total views | 1,648,910 in the first week | NFT News Today’s secondary report; total views are distinct from unique viewers. |

Who developed RavenQuest, and what was Immutable’s role?
GamesBeat identifies Tavernlight Games as the studio that launched RavenQuest on Immutable. Immutable is the platform and infrastructure context in the report; it is not identified there as the game’s developer. Ferguson’s statements about the milestone and demand for Web3 games are Immutable’s perspective, not independent findings about why viewers watched.
Does the reporting establish an all-time record?
No independent ranking or transparent methodology is presented in the available reports. GamesBeat relays Immutable’s claim that RavenQuest was the most-streamed Web3 game in history, including Ferguson’s comparison with “Of the Grid,” but does not give a full list of competing games, define the comparison set, or show how the record was calculated. The launch-hour top-four figure is specifically an MMORPG ranking on Twitch and does not independently prove an all-time Web3 record.
