You can keep licensed Free Fire tournament VODs playing on YouTube by sending a looping video feed through an encoder or a cloud service. First get written permission for the specific footage and its embedded content, check that your channel can livestream, then test the complete loop and recovery behavior before relying on it. A public VOD is not automatically free to rebroadcast, and permission alone does not guarantee monetization.

Before setting up a 24/7 rerun, clear the rights

Being able to watch or download a Free Fire tournament VOD does not give you permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility for the necessary rights on the person providing the live content, including rights to music in the stream.

Get permission for the whole broadcast, not just the game

Identify who controls each relevant part of the VOD: the tournament organizer, broadcast producer, casters, music, graphics, overlays, and any participant footage. Ask the relevant rights holders for written permission that specifically covers a continuous YouTube livestream. Confirm its territory, duration, whether you may keep an archive, whether monetization is allowed, and whether the rights holder will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

Garena’s India Terms of Service describe a limited personal-use license and say it does not authorize commercial use of the service or its individual elements. That does not establish a general license to rebroadcast a particular tournament. Ask the event’s organizer or other relevant rights holder about the event-specific broadcast rights; game access or credit in the description is not a substitute.

Understand the difference between permission and YouTube’s copyright systems

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live picture, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. YouTube warns that a license may not prevent an interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted by the relevant Content ID owner. If you keep the stream archive, a Content ID claim can also arrive after the stream ends. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Copyright exceptions vary by country or region. A credit, a disclaimer such as “I do not own this,” or a claim of fair use does not itself grant permission; do not treat U.S. fair-use rules as a blanket rule for India. YouTube explains the territorial distinction in its fair use guidance.

Check that your channel is eligible to go live

Before building the loop, check your channel in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says a channel needs verification, must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and the person livestreaming must be at least 16. The same guidance gives limits of up to 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. Platform requirements can change, so check the current page and your Studio status before launch.

Build the rerun with an encoder

An encoder-based setup sends video from your encoder to YouTube. The encoder—not the generic YouTube setup page—must handle looping the VOD or playlist and recovering safely if its connection drops. Exact controls vary by encoder, so verify them in the software you choose rather than assuming that creating a YouTube stream makes a video loop by itself.

  1. Prepare an authorized playlist. Put only VODs covered by your permission in the playlist. Check that each file plays through, including its audio, and decide whether the loop should move from one event recording to the next or repeat a single VOD.
  2. Create an encoder stream in Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream for encoder software. Use the stream URL and stream key provided for that stream. YouTube documents this workflow in Manage live stream settings.
  3. Enter the connection details in your encoder. Paste in the matching stream URL and key. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen or share it publicly. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the replacement.
  4. Set output and loop behavior in the encoder. Choose resolution, bitrate, frame rate, and keyframe settings that the encoder and your connection can sustain. Use the current values YouTube shows in Live Control Room or its applicable help guidance rather than copying an unverified preset. Enable the encoder’s file or playlist loop, and configure its reconnect behavior if available. Confirm what happens at the end of a file, after an encoder restart, and after a network interruption.
  5. Review YouTube’s stream controls. Live Control Room includes settings such as DVR, auto-start, and auto-stop. Choose the behavior you want for viewers and stream management, but do not mistake those controls for a guarantee that the encoder will loop indefinitely or recover from every failure.
  6. Run a private or unlisted test. Test the complete VOD, its audio, the transition back to the start or to the next file, and a deliberate encoder or network reconnect. Check the stream from another device. Look for YouTube copyright notices and picture or audio problems before making the rerun public.
  7. Launch only after the test passes. Keep the encoder logs and monitor the first public run. A successful test does not settle every copyright issue: archived livestreams may receive Content ID claims after they finish.

Plan monetization separately from the right to rebroadcast

Permission addresses whether you may use the footage; it does not by itself make a channel eligible to monetize it. YouTube’s channel monetization policies assess reused content separately. A channel that mostly repeats tournament VODs with little added value can fail that review even if the rights holder has permitted the broadcasts.

If monetization is a goal, build substantial original commentary, analysis, or educational explanation into the viewing experience and make that contribution clear across the channel. YouTube gives “Replays of a sports tournament where you explain the moves a competitor did to succeed” as an example that may be eligible. That example is not a promise that a particular channel or rerun will be approved.

Common problems and what to check

  • YouTube interrupts or terminates the stream: Check Live Control Room notices and identify the matched content. Confirm that the permission covers the matched element and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. A license alone may not stop automated interruption.
  • The loop ends at the end of a VOD: Check the encoder’s playlist or file-loop setting and test the end-of-file transition. YouTube’s stream controls do not replace the encoder’s looping function.
  • The stream does not resume after a disconnect: Check the encoder’s reconnect settings, logs, and network connection. Test an interruption deliberately; do not assume a successful initial connection proves unattended recovery.
  • The live picture or audio is wrong: Check the selected source, file playback, audio routing, and output settings in the encoder. Re-test the entire VOD, not only its opening seconds.
  • The stream key stops working or may have leaked: Confirm that the encoder has the key for the correct stream. If it was exposed, reset it in Studio and replace the saved key in the encoder.
  • A claim appears after the broadcast: Check the archived stream and the relevant rights information. YouTube can make claims on an archive after the live session has ended.
  • Monetization is rejected despite permission: Review the channel’s overall reused-content presentation and whether it adds meaningful original value. Copyright permission and monetization review answer different questions.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you do not want a home computer and connection to carry the stream, StreamNeo is a cloud option for looping uploaded videos to YouTube. The workflow is: upload the authorized recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. No computer, OBS, or home connection has to stay on. StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; every slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across active slots. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India.

StreamNeo is for uploaded video, not a camera feed, and streams to YouTube only. You still need permission for the VOD and any embedded material before sending it live. See StreamNeo for details, or start the free day.
