Infinity Nikki is a free-to-play, fashion-led open-world adventure built around exploration, platforming, puzzles and outfit collecting. Its ability-granting clothes give it a Zelda-like sense of discovery, but it is not a Zelda clone—and “without violence” needs a qualification: current official descriptions include archery, combat and battles against large enemies.

What kind of game is Infinity Nikki?

Infinity Nikki is the fifth installment in the Nikki series, described by PlayStation as an open-world dress-up adventure. Nikki and Momo travel through Miraland, where players explore, solve puzzles, platform and collect outfits. Clothing is not just a visual reward: some outfits provide abilities that help Nikki reach places or meet challenges. PlayStation’s game page names floating and shrinking among those abilities.

Steam’s description adds resource gathering and crafting, fishing, bug catching and animal grooming. Together, these activities make the central loop a blend of exploration and fashion collecting, with platforming and environmental problem-solving alongside the dress-up systems. Steam’s listing

Is Infinity Nikki like Zelda?

The comparison works best as a shorthand for open-world discovery and ability-gated traversal. In both kinds of adventure, exploring a place and finding ways to move through it are central pleasures. In Infinity Nikki, magical outfits supply some of those movement abilities: floating can help with traversal, while shrinking can change how Nikki approaches a space or challenge. Puzzles and 3D platforming are also part of the official PlayStation description.

That resemblance does not make the games mechanically identical. Infinity Nikki puts fashion, outfit collection and styling at the heart of its identity; the Zelda comparison says little about the quality or difficulty of its puzzles, the feel of its platforming, or its technical performance. Store descriptions establish that these features exist, not how well they play in practice.

Does Infinity Nikki have combat?

Yes, according to current official descriptions. Apple’s listing describes archery combat, and Google Play’s listing, updated August 26, 2026, mentions archery, combat roles and battles against large enemies. Those listings also describe other live-game features, including co-op and home-building activities. Store descriptions can differ by platform, so they should not be read as proof that every feature is identical everywhere.

The game can still be presented as fashion-forward and gentler in tone than a combat-first action RPG, but calling it a game “without violence” as a literal description is misleading. The available store copy confirms combat exists; it does not establish how frequent, intense or central it feels during play. Apple App Store listing · Google Play listing

Are outfits only cosmetic, and how does collecting work?

Outfits serve two roles: styling and gameplay. Some grant abilities used for traversal or challenges, so collecting clothes can affect how players interact with the world as well as how Nikki looks. Steam describes collecting resources to craft outfits, while the official PlayStation page highlights ability-bearing clothes as a core part of exploration.

Infold Games says its outfit gacha uses a piece-by-piece structure intended to support mix-and-match expression. In an official interview, the developer stated: “Our gacha system includes a guaranteed 4-star item every 10 pulls and a guaranteed 5-star item every 20 pulls.” That is the developer’s description at interview time, not evidence that every later banner uses unchanged terms. It also does not tell players the total cost of completing a particular outfit or how desirable each possible item will be. Infold Games interview

Is Infinity Nikki free to play?

Yes. Steam lists Infinity Nikki as free-to-play and discloses in-app purchases, including chance-based purchases. The US PlayStation listing also labels the game free and displayed Stellarite currency bundles from $0.99 to $99.99 when checked. Those are prices from a US-store snapshot, not a stable worldwide price list. Steam listing · US PlayStation Store listing

The guaranteed-item thresholds Infold described can help explain the gacha system, but they are not a full budget for obtaining a desired set. The interview does not establish the cost of a complete outfit, and chance-based purchases mean players should distinguish a stated guarantee from a promise that any specific item is immediately obtainable.

What do Steam players think?

Steam’s English-language review panel on October 8, 2026 showed 56% positive across 5,485 reviews overall, compared with 83% positive across 140 reviews in the recent-review panel. The samples cover different time windows and are not interchangeable: they suggest mixed all-time sentiment and a more favorable recent slice on Steam, not a verdict shared by every platform or player. Who is Infinity Nikki for?

The game is a natural fit for players drawn to fashion and collecting who also want an explorable world with platforming and puzzles. Its outfits have more purpose than simple wardrobe cosmetics, and its discovery-focused structure makes the Zelda comparison useful in a limited way. Players looking for a strictly nonviolent experience should take the current combat descriptions into account; players deciding whether the platforming, combat or monetization suits them will need platform- and version-specific detail beyond what store listings establish.
