Celestial is different. Intel named it as a future Arc generation and said development had begun, but those older roadmap statements do not confirm a consumer gaming GPU launch in 2026. Intel’s announced 2026 Xe3P sampling is for a data-center GPU, not a retail Celestial card.
When did Intel Battlemage launch?
Battlemage is the codename for Intel’s Arc B-Series desktop generation. On December 3, 2024, Intel announced that the B580 Limited Edition would be available starting December 13, 2024, with a starting price of $249 at launch. Intel’s B-Series infographic listed the B570 as available in January 2025. These are announced historical launch dates and price, not statements about current stock or what either card costs today. Intel’s B-Series launch announcement and its desktop graphics infographic document those windows.
What did Intel say about Celestial?
Intel introduced Battlemage, Celestial and Druid as future Arc generations in its August 2021 graphics roadmap. In February 2022, it said architecture work on Celestial had begun and described the intended segment as ultra-enthusiast. Neither statement supplied a dated retail schedule, and neither amounts to a confirmed 2026 launch commitment. The original Arc announcement and Intel technology-roadmap material establish historical intent, not a current consumer product announcement.
Does Intel’s 2026 GPU plan mean Celestial is coming?
No. Intel announced Crescent Island, a data-center GPU using Xe3P, in October 2025 and said customer sampling was expected in the second half of 2026. Sampling is not the same as retail availability, and Crescent Island is not a consumer Arc gaming card. Its schedule cannot be used as evidence that a Celestial-branded GPU for PC gamers will launch in 2026. Intel’s Crescent Island announcement describes the data-center product and sampling window.

Is an Intel Celestial gaming card cancelled?
Cancellation is not established. Intel’s 2026 official product material reviewed here includes Arc Pro B70 and B65 workstation graphics, but does not announce a consumer Celestial gaming-card model. No consumer Celestial model, specifications, price or retail release date are confirmed in that material. The absence of an announcement is not proof that Intel has cancelled the product. A September 19, 2026 TechRadar report on the future of Intel Arc also characterizes the consumer discrete roadmap as uncertain; that is secondary reporting, not an Intel cancellation statement. Intel’s 2026 product announcement does not confirm a consumer Celestial card.

Celestial is the next-generation name relevant to Intel’s older Arc roadmap, but a roadmap name is not a product buyers can compare or purchase. For now, the B580 and B570 are the announced desktop Battlemage models covered by the launch materials cited above. There is no substantiated consumer Celestial card to assess for price, performance or availability, and no basis here to treat an unannounced SKU as a confirmed product. Anyone considering a B-Series card should check current regional listings for the specific board model and price; the 2024 launch price is not a current-market quote.
