The 3v3 Invincible fighting game revealed at Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is Invincible VS, a tag fighter set in the series’ universe and developed by Quarter Up, Skybound’s in-house studio. The game is no longer upcoming: Xbox lists its release date as April 30, 2026.
What is the Invincible 3v3 fighting game?
Invincible VS is a team-based superhero fighting game in which players battle as teams of three, switching characters and calling teammates in as assists. It is set in the Invincible universe and was developed by Quarter Up, Skybound’s first in-house game development studio, with Skybound Games as publisher. Xbox’s official product page describes it as a 3v3 tag fighter featuring characters from the franchise.

At the June 8, 2025 showcase, Xbox identified Mark/Invincible, Thula, Bulletproof, and Atom Eve among the characters and highlighted familiar locations and graphic battle damage. Those were reveal-era descriptions, not an independent assessment of the game’s competitive balance or tournament scene. Xbox’s reveal recap announced the game under the title Invincible VS.
When did Invincible VS release?
Invincible VS released on April 30, 2026. Xbox gives that date on its game page; the 2025 reveal had originally announced a 2026 launch window. A launch announcement from co-financier 5th Planet Games also reported a worldwide release on April 30, 2026. That announcement lists Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

What platforms is Invincible VS on?
At launch, the game was reported for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Xbox’s launch announcement specifically lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, and identifies the game as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing supported Xbox and PC play to share that ecosystem’s entitlement. How does the fighting work?
Xbox Wire’s June 10, 2025 preview of a showcase build described a control scheme combining light, medium, and heavy attacks with directional special moves. Its account also covered assists, tagging, charge and snapback attacks, combo breakers, ultimates, and flight for some characters. The preview said simple inputs could chain into more elaborate-looking combinations and described the controls as approachable; these are impressions from that specific preview build, not a guarantee about every version or a claim of independent testing. The preview also described sudden-death overtime: if a match reaches the relevant overtime condition, the fight is decided by a final exchange. The game’s team format makes assists and tagging central to the reported combat system, rather than treating the other two characters as a static roster.
