What does it cost to start playing AION 2?
The Global version has no required purchase price. NC’s Launch FAQ, published October 5, 2026, says AION 2 is free to play with an optional monthly membership. Steam also classifies the game as free to play in its AION 2 store listing.
That means you can begin without paying for a game license. It does not mean every in-game feature or item is free: NC identifies optional paid purchases as part of the model.

Are there launch rewards?
NC’s official AION 2 site announced the Global launch for October 5, 2026, and described a limited-time offer of two free mounts. The stated terms require creating an account by December 2, 2026, at 3:30 PM JST, and claiming the rewards by December 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM JST. These are dated promotional rewards, not a permanent part of the free-to-play price model.
Can you rely on prices from Korea or Taiwan?
No. Prices reported for other regions or earlier membership arrangements do not establish what Global players currently pay. NC’s June 26, 2026 membership announcement described consolidating three previous membership tiers into one Special Quai Membership with improved benefits at a reduced price, but it did not state a dollar amount and predates the Global launch FAQ. The current Global prices for membership, cosmetics and the Battle Pass remain unconfirmed in the official materials available here.
