Arcade1Up’s reported December 2025 operational wind-down did not mean the brand disappeared. Insider Gaming reported an alleged internal email saying the company was closing operations, but identities were redacted and the outlet said it had no official company statement. A later report said Basic Fun acquired select Arcade1Up assets, and Arcade1Up’s site announced a new product collection planned for Fall 2026. Those updates show continued brand activity, but they do not settle every question about legacy-product support or establish that the announced products are already available.
What did the “closing operations” report say?
On December 11, 2025, Insider Gaming reported an alleged internal email stating: “Arcade1Up is closing operations. For the majority of us, our last day is this coming Friday.” The report said the names and email addresses were redacted and that it had not received an official company statement. The message reportedly came from someone addressing a beta team; the sender also said they could not speak to the brand’s future or plans for arcade systems and Infinity Tables. Insider Gaming’s report
That made the story evidence of a reported wind-down of operations, not conclusive public proof that the Arcade1Up brand or its products would cease to exist. The word “reportedly” matters: the initial account rested on a redacted message rather than a public closure announcement from the company.
What happened to Arcade1Up afterward?
Basic Fun acquired select assets
Time Extension updated its reporting on December 16, 2025, to say that Basic Fun had acquired “select assets” of Arcade1Up and intended to support the home arcade category and Arcade1Up products already on the market. “Select assets” is narrower than a statement that Basic Fun bought the entire former operating company. The reported wind-down and the brand’s later continuation are therefore not necessarily contradictory. Time Extension’s updated report

New products were announced for Fall 2026
On February 14, 2026, Arcade1Up’s official site published a Basic Fun announcement describing the first new home arcade collection under Basic Fun’s stewardship, planned for Fall 2026. It named PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN products and a Sonic Supreme Series cabinet—the first Sonic the Hedgehog home arcade cabinet named in the announcement. Basic Fun’s senior vice president of global brand marketing, Dan Westcott, said the company was “honored to build on” Arcade1Up’s legacy. Arcade1Up’s announcement

Can Arcade1Up owners still get support?
Arcade1Up’s contact page lists a North American support portal and separate contact channels for Europe and Mexico. That establishes where customers can start seeking help; it does not promise that every legacy warranty, firmware update, online feature, or service will continue indefinitely. Arcade1Up’s contact page
For a support request, use the channel for your region and have the cabinet’s model number and proof of purchase available where requested. If your question concerns warranty coverage, updates, online play, or an Infinity Table, ask about that specific model and feature: the published contact routes alone do not establish a universal service commitment.

What should buyers consider?
The available announcement is not enough to assess a specific cabinet as a purchase: it names products but does not state their prices, full game lineups, dimensions, or availability. Before buying, verify the exact model and listing, then compare:
- Games: Confirm the included titles and whether the games you want are on that particular model.
- Space and format: Check the cabinet’s dimensions and form factor against the space where it will be used.
- Price and stock: Check current regional pricing and availability rather than assuming an announced Fall 2026 product is on sale.
- Connected features: If a feature depends on online services, ask the seller or official support what the model requires and what is currently supported.
The sources cited here do not establish current prices or model-by-model service guarantees, so those details should be checked for the specific cabinet before purchase.
