The game does support online co-op for up to four players, but that does not establish that players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox can join the same session.
Does AC Unity have crossplay?
Crossplay is not confirmed by Ubisoft’s cited Unity materials. Ubisoft does not publish a Unity-specific crossplay matrix or state that players on different platform families can play together. So if you and your friends use different platforms, do not assume you can join one another’s co-op session.

What kind of multiplayer does Unity support?
Ubisoft describes Unity’s online co-op as letting a player “join up to three friends” for missions in the game’s open world. That is a session of up to four players total: you and three friends. The description confirms co-op, not cross-platform matchmaking.

Which platforms can you play AC Unity on?
In a March 5, 2026 announcement, Ubisoft listed the original game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store. The same announcement says the game received a 60 FPS update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That update concerns performance on those consoles; it does not confirm crossplay.
Ubisoft also said Ubisoft+ Classics or Premium subscribers could play the game in that announcement. Storefront and subscription availability can change, so check Ubisoft’s current listing for your region before buying or subscribing.

Can PC and Xbox play AC Unity together?
Ubisoft’s cited official sources do not confirm that PC and Xbox players can join the same Unity co-op session. The same applies to PlayStation and Xbox, or PC and PlayStation. A platform-specific copy lets you play on that platform, but it is not evidence of crossplay.
For the most reliable plan, make sure everyone in your group has access to the game on a compatible platform and verify the game’s current multiplayer options before purchasing it specifically to play together.
