Xbox advertised savings of up to $100 in a promotion with a December 20, 2025 deadline, but its terms do not establish Canadian eligibility or identify ASUS as the seller. ASUS Canada’s deal listing instead showed a sale on the handheld’s Premium Case, not the handheld itself.
What the $100 ROG Xbox Ally offer actually says
Xbox’s verified YouTube channel published a promotion titled “Up to $100 Off ROG Xbox Ally” on December 10, 2025. Its promotional sentence said, “For a limited time, save up to $100 on the ROG Xbox Ally and experience seamless PC gaming on the go.” The accompanying terms said the offer ran until December 20, 2025, or while supplies lasted, at participating retailers. The result also cautioned that products may not be available in all markets. See Xbox’s promotional listing.
That dated offer does not verify a current Canadian discount. It also does not show that ASUS itself was offering the reduction, or that Canadian retailers were included. The promotion mentioned a three-month Game Pass Premium benefit, but its result does not establish Canadian eligibility for that benefit either.
What ASUS Canada currently shows
A case discount, not a handheld discount
ASUS Canada’s deals page listed the ROG Xbox Ally (2-in-1) Premium Case under Gaming Handhelds. When accessed the week of October 4, 2026, the case page displayed a price of $49.99, reduced from $99.99. That is an accessory offer; it is not evidence that the ROG Xbox Ally handheld is $100 off. Check ASUS Canada’s deals page and the ROG Xbox Ally Premium Case page for current availability and pricing.

ASUS describes the case as a hard-shell design for the Ally, with a water-repellent shell, fleece lining and a detachable pouch for the 65W charging adapter. It may be useful to an Ally owner, but its price should not be confused with the handheld’s price.
Canadian X20 launch pricing is a separate matter
In an announcement dated August 25, 2026, ASUS said Canadian preorders had opened for the ROG XBOX Ally X20. The announcement listed C$1,899 for the standalone device and C$3,499 for a bundle, named Best Buy as the initial preorder retailer, and said shelf availability was planned to begin October 15, 2026. Those are launch details, not evidence of a $100 promotion. The announcement page timed out when accessed, so confirm current price, stock and bundle contents with the retailer. ASUS Canada news.

ASUS’s Canadian handheld catalog identifies the ROG XBOX Ally X20 (2026), model RC74XA, and its result lists Windows 11 Home, an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and a 7.4-inch OLED FHD 120Hz display. Because the catalog page did not load when checked, verify live product specifications before relying on those details. ASUS Canada’s gaming handheld catalog.

- Exact model: Confirm whether it is the ROG Xbox Ally, Ally X, or the newer X20, and compare the same configuration rather than different devices.
- Final Canadian price: Check the amount charged by the Canadian retailer, including any applicable taxes or shipping shown at checkout. Do not infer a handheld discount from an accessory sale.
- Retailer, dates and stock: Confirm that the Canadian seller is participating, the promotion is still within its stated dates, and the product is in stock.
- Bundle terms: Determine whether the advertised price includes a subscription or other items, and whether those extras are optional or affect the comparison.
Until a Canadian retailer lists the exact handheld, its current price and the promotion’s dates and terms, the specific claim that ASUS is offering $100 off the ROG Xbox Ally in Canada remains unverified.
