What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Short answer: Brambleghast is not an established Pokémon GO PvP pick in the checked 2026 data. Pokémon GO Hub reports no ranking information for it in Great, Ultra, or Master League, so there is no defensible “best league” or proven meta moveset to recommend. You can experiment with it, but do so as a specialist project rather than a resource priority.
The most favorable move-table result on that page is Hex with Power Whip, listed at 94 damage per cycle. That is a database comparison, not evidence that Brambleghast performs reliably against ranked teams. Your decision should depend on the league’s CP limit, Brambleghast’s available moves and IVs, and the role your team still needs.

Is Brambleghast good in Pokémon GO PvP?
Based on the 2026 Pokémon GO Hub snapshot, Brambleghast is currently unranked in Great League, Ultra League, and Master League. The page supplies no ranking information for any of the three open leagues. That makes the accurate verdict different from both “Brambleghast is secretly broken” and “Brambleghast can never win”: its standing is simply unestablished in the available ranking data.

No reviewed source provides battle simulations, usage rates, or a demonstrated tournament niche for Brambleghast. Without that evidence, spending rare resources to build one for open-league competition is difficult to justify. A low-cost experiment can still be reasonable if you already have a suitable specimen and want to test an unusual team concept.
Does Brambleghast have a best league?
No. The available page does not identify a ranked league for Brambleghast, so choosing one as “best” would imply evidence that is not present. It does provide calculated examples for each format, which are useful for checking CP and level requirements but should not be read as recommendations to invest.
| League | Listed build calculation | What the data establishes | Investment interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great League | 0/15/15 IVs, level 23, 1,497 CP | No ranking information reported | A CP-legal example, not a proven competitive build |
| Ultra League | 0/15/15 IVs, level 47.5, 2,499 CP | No ranking information reported | Requires substantial leveling for an unranked option |
| Master League | 15/15/15 IVs, level 50, 2,745 CP | No ranking information reported | Level-50 cost is hard to defend without a demonstrated role |
These are Pokémon GO Hub’s listed target calculations from its 2026 access snapshot. They describe how a specimen can fit under each CP cap; they do not show that Brambleghast wins a particular matchup spread or belongs on a high-performing team.

Pokémon GO Hub lists two fast moves and three charged moves for Brambleghast:
| Move type | Move | Pokémon GO Hub value |
|---|---|---|
| Fast | Hex | 2.33 damage per turn; 4.33 energy per turn |
| Fast | Bullet Seed | 1.67 damage per turn; 4.33 energy per turn |
| Charged | Power Whip | 90 power; 50 energy (1.80 damage per energy) |
| Charged | Night Shade | 70 power; 45 energy (1.56 damage per energy) |
| Charged | Shadow Sneak | 75 power; 50 energy (1.50 damage per energy) |
The numbers above are the values displayed in Pokémon GO Hub’s table. They should not be treated as universal, version-independent game constants.
Hex versus Bullet Seed
In Pokémon GO Hub’s listing, Hex deals more damage per turn than Bullet Seed while both generate 4.33 energy per turn. On those displayed figures, Hex is the more attractive fast-move starting point because it preserves the same listed energy rate while adding damage.

Serebii’s 2026 Pokémon GO entry introduces an important qualification: it lists Bullet Seed with 8 PvP power rather than presenting the same damage-per-turn figure used by Pokémon GO Hub. That is a source discrepancy, not proof that one page is universally correct for every game version. Use the move values shown in your current in-game or version-specific reference when making a final build.
Power Whip, Night Shade, and Shadow Sneak
Power Whip has the highest damage-per-energy ratio in Pokémon GO Hub’s displayed table: 90 power for 50 energy, or 1.80 damage per energy. Night Shade is shown at 70 for 45 (1.56), and Shadow Sneak at 75 for 50 (1.50).
Serebii agrees with the listed power values for these charged moves but gives different energy requirements: 40 energy for Night Shade and 45 for Shadow Sneak. Because those costs materially affect shield pressure and move timing, do not present the disputed energy figures as settled without checking a game-version-specific source.
What is the best Brambleghast moveset?
If you are testing Brambleghast despite its absent rankings, Hex plus Power Whip is the clearest starting point from the available move table. Pokémon GO Hub’s cycle comparison lists:
| Fast move | Charged move | Displayed damage per cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Hex | Power Whip | 94 |
| Hex | Shadow Sneak | 83 |
| Hex | Night Shade | 77 |
That result answers a narrow question— which displayed combination produces the most damage per cycle on the page. It does not account for shields, baiting, turn alignment, typing, switch timing, bulk, or the actual opponents you face. Nor does it prove that Hex and Power Whip is competitively optimal.
Recommended Free Tools
Bullet Seed combinations are not shown in the supplied cycle comparison. Do not infer their ranking from the Hex results alone. If you want to try Bullet Seed, compare it in the current battle simulator or in-game environment rather than assuming that equal listed energy generation makes the two fast moves interchangeable.

Great League: the least expensive experiment
Great League is the only format in which the listed example stays below 1,500 CP without requiring a level-50 build. Pokémon GO Hub’s target is 0/15/15 at level 23 and 1,497 CP. That spread reflects the usual goal of fitting as much stat product as possible under a CP ceiling; it is a calculation, not a ranking.
For a player determined to test Brambleghast, this is the most practical starting point because the level requirement is modest compared with the Ultra and Master examples. Even here, however, the absent ranking matters. A Great League specimen should be treated as an inexpensive experiment only if you can acquire it without sacrificing resources needed for established team members.
What to check before building
- Confirm that the individual Pokémon can be taught the moves you intend to test.
- Check its resulting CP after each power-up rather than assuming the listed level will match your specimen exactly.
- Compare the appraisal and actual IVs with the 0/15/15 target; do not discard a specimen solely because it is not perfect if you are testing casually.
- Run battles against the opponents you actually encounter and record whether Brambleghast reaches charged moves, survives a first charged attack, or forces a shield.
Those checks tell you whether the particular specimen is usable for your account. They do not create a league ranking where none has been reported.

Ultra League: a high-cost test without established standing
The listed Ultra League calculation is 0/15/15 at level 47.5 and 2,499 CP. Reaching that level normally consumes far more candy and Stardust than the Great League example. The available data does not provide a ranking, matchup record, or usage evidence to offset that cost.
Ultra League can therefore make sense only for a player who already has the resources, enjoys off-meta testing, and accepts that the build may remain a curiosity. If your goal is the strongest return on Stardust, the source-backed information gives no reason to put Brambleghast ahead of proven options.
Master League: the hardest investment to justify
For Master League, Pokémon GO Hub lists a 15/15/15 specimen at level 50 and 2,745 CP. The perfect IV target and maximum level make this the most expensive route, while the resulting CP is still far below the cap used by many Master League Pokémon. Since no Master League ranking is reported, the data does not establish a reason to commit XL Candy and level-50 resources.

A Master League build could be a personal project if you enjoy using unusual Pokémon and already possess the required resources. It should not be presented as a generally recommended investment or as a discovered Master League niche.
How Brambleghast’s type matchups shape team planning
The Brambleghast guide lists increased damage from Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost, and Ice. It lists reduced damage from Electric, Grass, Ground, and Water, with stronger listed resistances to Fighting and Normal. The page does not supply a full matchup matrix or exact battle simulations, so use these categories as defensive context rather than a prediction of specific wins.
Potentially favorable defensive context
- Reduced damage from Electric, Grass, Ground, and Water can matter when those attack types are common in the battles you choose.
- The stronger listed resistance to Fighting and Normal may let Brambleghast absorb some low-pressure attacks more comfortably than its raw CP suggests.
Risks to cover
- Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost, and Ice attacks are listed as dealing increased damage.
- A team that relies on Brambleghast to switch into those categories may lose its limited flexibility quickly.
- Type resistance alone does not establish a win: charged-move timing, shields, attack stats, bulk, and the opponent’s secondary typing all affect an encounter.
Build partners around the threats you actually see rather than around a theoretical type chart. Because no source reviewed demonstrates a reliable Brambleghast niche, the burden is on your testing to show that its resistances create useful switch opportunities.
A practical way to test Brambleghast without wasting resources
- Start with the lowest-cost format. If you want an answer for your own account, begin with the Great League calculation of 0/15/15, level 23, and 1,497 CP rather than immediately pursuing the level-47.5 Ultra or level-50 Master examples.
- Verify the current move data. Use the moves available to your Pokémon and confirm energy costs in a current, version-specific reference. Pokémon GO Hub and Serebii disagree on some charged-move energy values, so do not rely on an old table for exact timing.
- Teach the initial test set. Use Hex and Power Whip as the first comparison because that is the highest damage-per-cycle pairing displayed by Pokémon GO Hub. Keep the possibility of Bullet Seed, Night Shade, or Shadow Sneak open for a later controlled test.
- Give the Pokémon a defined job. Decide whether you want it to pressure shields, close games with a charged move, absorb a listed resisted attack, or function as a surprise pick. A team without a defined role makes losses impossible to diagnose.
- Log real battle outcomes. Record the opposing Pokémon, shields remaining, whether Brambleghast reached its charged move, and whether it forced a switch. A small log is more useful than judging it from one dramatic win or loss.
- Stop when the role is not materializing. If Brambleghast repeatedly loses before reaching a move, cannot create useful switches, or duplicates a role already covered by a stronger team member, save the remaining Stardust and Candy.
PvPoke describes itself as an open-source Pokémon GO PvP and GO Battle League tool offering rankings, moves, battle simulation, team building, and training. It is useful for checking current battle scenarios, but the reviewed material did not provide a Brambleghast-specific PvPoke ranking or simulation. Use any later result as a new snapshot rather than treating it as confirmation of the 2026 Pokémon GO Hub page.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose between Brambleghast’s charged moves
Choose Power Whip for the initial damage test
Power Whip is the logical first test because Pokémon GO Hub lists it at 90 power for 50 energy and gives Hex plus Power Whip the highest displayed damage per cycle, 94. This does not guarantee that it is the best choice in shielded battles, where move timing and bait decisions may matter more than the table’s raw ratio.

Pokémon GO Hub shows Night Shade at 70 power for 45 energy, while Serebii lists the same power with a 40-energy cost. That difference could change how quickly Brambleghast reaches a charged attack. Verify the live value before building a team around it; otherwise, you may be planning around an outdated or differently formatted database entry.

Use Shadow Sneak only with a specific reason
Shadow Sneak is listed by Pokémon GO Hub at 75 power for 50 energy and produces 83 damage per cycle with Hex, below the displayed Power Whip result. Serebii lists 75 power for 45 energy. Unless the lower live energy requirement creates a meaningful timing breakpoint in your battles, the available table gives no reason to prefer it over Power Whip.
What the current evidence does not prove
- It does not prove that Brambleghast can never win in any league.
- It does not prove that Hex and Power Whip is a universally optimal moveset.
- It does not establish a best league, a tournament role, or a reliable matchup niche.
- It does not provide usage statistics, battle simulations, or a named study that validates a performance claim.
- It does not settle every move-value discrepancy between the Pokémon GO Hub and Serebii tables for a particular game version.
Keeping those limits visible prevents a move-table comparison from being mistaken for a meta evaluation.
When should you build Brambleghast?
Build one if your goal is experimentation, collection-driven play, or testing a team concept and you can do so without delaying a higher-priority project. Start with a Great League specimen, use the listed 0/15/15 calculation as a reference, and test Hex with Power Whip first.
Do not build it solely because a database lists a high damage-per-cycle number. The current source-backed position is that Brambleghast has no reported open-league ranking, no established best format, and no documented competitive niche. Ultra League’s level-47.5 target and Master League’s level-50 target make those formats especially difficult to justify as blind investments.
Bottom line
Brambleghast is an unranked, experimental PvP Pokémon in the checked 2026 data. There is no source-supported best league. Great League is the least expensive place to test it, while Hex plus Power Whip is the strongest starting point in Pokémon GO Hub’s displayed cycle table. Treat both as practical experiment settings—not proof of competitive viability—and recheck the current move values and rankings after balance changes.
