Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is marked on sale on Activision’s official page, but the available information does not establish one reliable price or deadline across platforms and regions. Check your own storefront’s checkout price and offer end date before buying; don’t assume a particular discount is live everywhere.
How to check whether the discount is real for you
- Open Activision’s official Buy Now page and select your platform and region.
- Follow the link to the storefront you intend to use, then confirm the edition, current checkout total, and any offer end date shown there.
- Compare the same edition across stores. A discount label alone does not establish the final price, and one platform’s offer does not guarantee the same deal on another.
A Steam search result displayed the base game at $69.99, but that does not settle the current sale price. Activision’s page separately showed discount labels for selected storefronts; neither source establishes a dependable final price across all stores. Check Steam’s listing directly for its current regional price.
Choose the edition and access route that fits
Activision lists Cross-Gen / Standard and Vault editions for Xbox, Xbox PC, PlayStation, Battle.net, and Steam, alongside Game Pass availability. Availability and prices can vary by region and storefront.
| Route | What to consider |
|---|---|
| Cross-Gen / Standard | Base game. Check the specific store listing for the platform and generation coverage included. |
| Vault Edition | Includes the base game plus digital extras: BlackCell for one season, an Operator Collection, a Mastercraft Weapon Collection, Ultra GobbleGums for Zombies, and a Permanent Unlock Token. |
| Game Pass | Provides access through an eligible subscription plan; the subscription must remain active for subscription access. |
| Physical console copy | Available for Xbox and PlayStation, but disc compatibility depends on the console and edition. It is not an option for disc-free hardware. |
These are different forms of access: a purchase and a subscription should not be treated as interchangeable. Review the exact listing before paying, especially when comparing a Vault upgrade or a cross-generation bundle with a subscription.

Check disc and console compatibility
- The PS5 physical edition is for PS5 only.
- A PS4 Cross-Gen Bundle may include a PS5 digital code, but the PS4 disc is still required to play that PS5 version.
- Physical editions do not work on Xbox Series S or a digital-only PS5.
Activision’s edition details explain the available physical editions. Confirm your console has a disc drive and that the product listing names the edition you intend to use.
Know the requirements before you buy
Internet access
Black Ops 7 requires a continuous internet connection for every mode, including Campaign. Activision Support states: “This means you’ll need a continuous internet connection to play any game mode, including Campaign.” Its support documentation gives this requirement in its explanation of texture streaming.

Split-screen
Split-screen is supported on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, but not on Xbox One or PS4. If local multiplayer matters to your purchase, check that your console is one of the supported systems.
PC security
PC requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, and additional security measures may apply. Check Activision’s current support information and your PC’s settings before buying if you are unsure your system meets the requirements.

Should you buy it because of the discount?
Only decide after you confirm the live total for your region and weigh it against the edition you actually want. A lower price on the base game may suit you better than Vault Edition extras; Game Pass may suit someone who already has an eligible active subscription. If you want a physical copy, verify both the console compatibility and the exact edition. A sale label is not enough to establish that a particular offer is unusually low or about to expire.
