Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has a free digital soundtrack bonus, but the official announcement names the game’s website and Laced Records’ Bandcamp—not Steam—as download sources. It is a soundtrack album, not a free copy of the game.
Is the soundtrack free on Steam?
Steam distribution is not confirmed by the available official announcement. Sandfall Interactive’s July 24, 2025 announcement says the digital album Nos vies en Lumière (Bonus Edition) can be streamed or downloaded for free from the official Expedition 33 website or Laced Records’ Bandcamp. The announcement does not identify Steam as a download source.
A Steam Community review dated July 27, 2025 says its reviewer received the Bonus Edition for free, but that user review does not establish where the album was obtained. It should not be treated as confirmation of a direct Steam download: the review.
What is included in the free digital album?
Sandfall describes Nos vies en Lumière (Bonus Edition) as a special thank-you release. The album runs just over 1 hour and 30 minutes and includes a full 33-minute version of “Nos vies en Lumière.” The announcement also says it contains 30 newly mastered tracks from the original soundtrack, including remixed and polished versions of the three-part suite “Une vie à t’aimer,” “Une vie à peindre,” and “Une vie à rêver.” The update work is credited to Jake Jackson, Joe Caithness, and the Laced team. These contents and credits are given in the publisher’s announcement.

How does the free album differ from the physical editions?
The digital Bonus Edition is separate from the paid physical soundtrack formats announced alongside it. Sandfall’s announcement lists these editions:
| Edition | Format and contents stated in the announcement |
|---|---|
| Deluxe edition | 6LP vinyl box set |
| Double LP edition | Two vinyl records |
| 8CD set | 154-track original soundtrack album plus 25 bonus tracks |
The announcement provides these format and track-count details, but they do not establish current stock, preorder status, or availability through any particular retailer. Check the official announcement for the release information it provides.
