No: Core Keeper does not support multiplayer across PC and consoles or between different console families. It does support cross-generation play within a console family and multiplayer between some PC storefronts, including Steam, Epic, and GOG.

Can PC and Xbox players play Core Keeper together?
No. PC-to-console crossplay is not supported, so owning the game on different platforms does not make a PC-and-Xbox session possible. The PC storefront exception applies to supported PC storefronts, not to consoles.

Can Switch play with PC, and does Switch have local co-op?
No: the developer-marked response says Switch can play online with other Switch players, while PC crossplay is limited to PC storefronts. The same response says the Switch version has no local co-op, so two people sharing one Switch cannot use local co-op in Core Keeper.
Can PS4 and PS5 players play together?
The developer FAQ confirms cross-generation play, but does not name every console pairing. Xbox’s official store listing explicitly identifies Xbox Live cross-generation multiplayer; the reviewed sources do not explicitly spell out the PS4-to-PS5 pairing. Check current PlayStation-specific guidance before relying on that exact combination.

What should you check before arranging a session?
- Confirm each player’s platform family. Keep console players within the same family; PC players cannot join console players, and different console families cannot crossplay.
- For PC, confirm the storefront. The developer names Steam, Epic, and GOG as storefronts that can play together. Microsoft Store is also listed as a PC storefront, but the FAQ does not enumerate all pairings.
- For a cross-generation group, verify the exact consoles. Cross-generation play is supported, but the official sources do not list every specific pairing.
- On Xbox, check the online multiplayer requirement. The Xbox store says console online multiplayer requires Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate; this is an Xbox-specific requirement, not a claim about other consoles. The listing describes online co-op for 2–8 players. Xbox store listing
Which platforms does Core Keeper support?
The current developer FAQ lists PC through Steam, Epic Games, GOG, and Microsoft Store; Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2; PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Platform availability does not mean all of those systems can play together: cross-platform play between PC and consoles or across console families is not supported.
