The publisher’s release index displays announcements through September 30, 2026; its October 1 releases instead include BALLOON BOMBER and CRAZY BALLOON. This verification reflects official material available as of October 7, 2026.
What did HAMSTER announce for October 1?
HAMSTER’s release index lists September 30, 2026 announcements for the titles below. Its platform and edition details matter: the original Arcade Archives edition of BALLOON BOMBER is distinct from its Arcade Archives 2 release.
| Title and edition | Announced platforms | Release date |
|---|---|---|
| BALLOON BOMBER — Arcade Archives | Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 | October 1, 2026 |
| BALLOON BOMBER — Arcade Archives 2 | Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S | October 1, 2026 |
| CRAZY BALLOON — Arcade Archives 2 | Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC | October 1, 2026 |
HAMSTER describes BALLOON BOMBER as a 1980 TAITO shooting game in which the player controls an anti-aircraft gun and must destroy bombs without hitting balloons. CRAZY BALLOON, also from TAITO in 1980, is an action game about guiding a balloon through a hazardous maze. The publisher’s announcements are dated September 30 and list October 1 as the release date: BALLOON BOMBER and CRAZY BALLOON.
Is Fighting Golf confirmed?
Not by the official index and release announcements cited here. The index’s displayed latest announcements do not identify Fighting Golf, and the two October 1 announcements name the releases above instead. That establishes that the claim is unverified by those materials; it does not rule out a later announcement or establish that every regional store has the same listings.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

HAMSTER notes that store availability can vary by country or region. If you are checking whether either release is available where you live, consult your local Nintendo eShop listing rather than assuming availability from the announcement alone.
Is Arcade Archives GOLF the same game?
No. Nintendo’s Arcade Archives GOLF listing describes a Nintendo sports game released in 1984 and lists its Nintendo Switch release date as October 25, 2019. That is a separate game, not confirmation of Fighting Golf as a new Arcade Archives release.
