Yes. Hades II is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Both console versions launched on April 14, 2026; the game first reached PC and Nintendo Switch platforms on September 25, 2025.
Is Hades II on PS5?
Yes. The official PlayStation Store listing identifies PS5 as a platform and April 14, 2026 as the release date. It lists Supergiant Games, LLC as the publisher.
Is Hades II on Xbox Series X|S?
Yes. Supergiant announced the Xbox Series X|S release for April 14, 2026. Xbox Wire also confirms availability through Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud, as well as day-one Xbox Game Pass inclusion and Xbox Play Anywhere support. The Game Pass detail applies to Xbox access; it does not change the fact that the game is available as a console version for Series X|S.

Supergiant announced the console date on March 26, 2026. Its announcement described the PS5 and Xbox Series X releases as running at 120 frames per second and said those versions include bonus content and quality-of-life improvements. The announcement is a developer capability claim, not an independently measured benchmark or a guarantee that every display and setup will show 120 frames per second.

What performance can you expect on PS5?
Supergiant’s PS5 FAQ specifies support for 120 Hz at up to 4K resolution (upscaled) on supported displays. Its Power Saver mode uses 1080p resolution and a locked 60 FPS. The available output therefore depends on the selected mode and a compatible display; the announcement’s 120 FPS statement should not be read as an unconditional result on every setup.
Which platform should you choose?
- Already own a PS5: The PS5 Store listing confirms the console version and its April 14, 2026 release date.
- Want Xbox access: Xbox Series X|S is supported, and Xbox Wire confirms Game Pass, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud and Xbox Play Anywhere availability.
- Prefer PC or Nintendo: The v1.0 version arrived on PC, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on September 25, 2025.
- Care about high-refresh output: Check the display and mode requirements, especially Supergiant’s supported-display qualification for PS5’s 120 Hz option.
Do not assume PS5 and Xbox cross-save support: the official FAQ describes save support for Nintendo and PC, but does not establish cross-saves for PS5 or Xbox. The reviewed official listings confirm digital platform availability; they do not establish whether a physical disc edition is available.
