What kind of WWII shooter is Hell Let Loose?
Hell Let Loose is a large-scale, squad-based first-person shooter set across the Eastern and Western Fronts and North Africa. Steam describes battles with 50 players on each side, a shifting front line, infantry, tanks and artillery. Named settings include Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad and Kursk.

Roles, tactics and communication
The Steam listing describes 14 roles spanning command, infantry, reconnaissance and armour. Tactical decisions and resource management are part of the game, alongside realistic ballistics and recoil, vehicles, artillery, large maps and persistent progression.
Voice chat includes proximity, command and unit channels. The listing says communication is essential, so coordinating with a squad can matter to the experience. A microphone-equipped headset is optional; the store listing does not specify or require a particular headset.
