- Dream Drop Distance HD: A full-HD remaster of the portable game originally released in 2012. Sora and Riku take the Mark of Mastery exam.
- 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –: A short, playable episode following Aqua after Birth by Sleep. Square Enix calls it “A completely new playable episode that takes place after the storyline of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep and links to the story of KINGDOM HEARTS III.”
- χ Back Cover: An HD movie about the Foretellers and early series history, not another playable game.

It is a better fit if
- You want to play Dream Drop Distance and would like its HD remaster on Switch 2.

- You want a downloadable Switch 2 version instead of relying on the previous Switch Cloud Version.

That collection contains HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. Square Enix says eligible owners of the corresponding Switch Cloud Version can receive 50% off the corresponding Switch 2 digital version. The physical collection bundle is excluded. Check the offer and eligibility shown in your regional eShop; the discount is not a general reduction on every purchase. The prior Nintendo Switch release is a Cloud Version and requires an internet connection to play, according to Nintendo’s listing. Square Enix says sales of the KINGDOM HEARTS Switch Cloud titles ended June 9, 2026, and that they are scheduled to remain playable until June 9, 2027. Square Enix also says eligible owners can transfer Cloud save data to the Switch 2 digital version. Those dates and transfer details are in the Square Enix Support Centre notice.

- Confirm the release and local price. Nintendo UK lists October 8, 2026, for release; check your region’s eShop or retailer for availability and price.
- Decide whether the content mix suits you. The package is one remastered game, one short playable episode, and one movie.
