Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Yes, Pacify supports cross-platform multiplayer between Mac and Windows. The developer confirmed a fix for Mac/Windows connection problems in March 2024. Steam also labels the game as supporting cross-platform multiplayer, but the official information available does not confirm whether PlayStation or Xbox players can join PC or Mac players.
Can Mac and Windows players play Pacify together?
Yes. The strongest platform-specific confirmation comes from developer Shawn Hitchcock’s March 10, 2024 announcement. It said a glitch in the Mac version had prevented Mac players from hosting or joining properly and that the issue had been fixed. The announcement advised Mac players to restart Steam if the update button did not appear; Windows players who were not having problems did not need to do anything.
Steam’s Pacify store listing also marks the game as supporting cross-platform multiplayer, alongside online co-op and online PvP. Taken together, the store label and developer update support Mac/Windows play together.
Can PC or Mac players play with PlayStation or Xbox players?
That is not confirmed by the official information available. Steam’s cross-platform label does not identify which platform pairings it covers, and the developer’s documented connection fix concerns Mac and Windows—not consoles. Do not assume that a PlayStation or Xbox player can join a PC or Mac session based on the general label alone.

Steam Community users have asked about PS5-to-PC play and shared conflicting personal reports, but those posts are anecdotal rather than an official compatibility specification. Steam lists single-player, online co-op, and online PvP. Its description calls Pacify an online co-op horror game. The store page gives inconsistent party-size wording: its lead description says “up to 6 friends,” while its gameplay section says “up to three more friends.” Because those figures conflict, the listing does not establish a reliable current maximum group size.
