No confirmed free Steam weekend for the original Quiplash is established by the available official listings. Jackbox Games’ product page showed the Steam version at $5.49, reduced from $9.99, when checked on October 8, 2026. That is a dated, potentially region-sensitive sale listing—not evidence that the game is free. Check the live Steam listing for your region before buying.
Is the original Quiplash free on Steam this weekend?
Not according to the official information available for October 8, 2026. Jackbox Games’ Quiplash product page displayed the Steam version for $5.49, marked down from $9.99. The page can change and prices can vary by region, so treat those figures as what the listing showed on that date—not a guaranteed current price or a free-play offer.

Quiplash 2 InterLASHional: The Say Anything Party Game! Standard - Nintendo Switch [Digital Code] | $9.99 | Buy on Amazon |
A free weekend requires a dated offer with clear start and end times. The official Steam weekend-sale page surfaced in search did not substantiate a current free weekend for the original game. Jackbox’s October 1, 2026 Steam Autumn Sale announcement instead listed Quiplash 2 InterLASHional at 45% off for $5.49. That is a related but separate game, and its sale is not evidence that the original Quiplash is free.
What you get in Quiplash
Quiplash is a prompt-and-vote party game. Players write answers to fill-in-the-blank prompts; answers are paired against each other, and the group votes on the matchup. Jackbox describes the game this way: “There are no rules or correct answers. You just say whatever you want!”

The original standalone Quiplash is not the same product as Quiplash 3, which is included in The Jackbox Party Pack 7. Jackbox’s Steam publisher page describes Party Packs as collections of five games. Compare the games in a pack with the specific version you want before choosing that purchase route.
Where to check availability
Jackbox lists purchase options for Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, Apple TV/iPad, and Amazon Fire TV. Availability and price depend on platform and region; use the official Quiplash page to check the current listing for your platform. The listing describes digital platform options; it does not establish a physical Amazon edition.
