At the time, the company said no lawsuit had been filed and that it did not intend to stop TVGS from selling or developing Schedule I. Those statements describe the position in April 2025; the available records do not establish the matter’s current status.
Was Schedule I sued?
Movie Games said on April 8, 2025, that “There is no lawsuit.” The statement was a clarification about the situation then, not evidence of the case’s status in 2026. Movie Games’ official filings index lists an April 3 announcement of an investigation and an April 10 filing about the company’s actions, but the records available here do not establish whether a lawsuit or other later development followed. PC Gamer reported the April 8 clarification; Movie Games’ filings index lists the notices.
What did Movie Games say it was investigating?
Movie Games said a preliminary legal analysis indicated there might have been infringement, leading it to investigate possible similarities between Schedule I and its Drug Dealer Simulator games. The reported areas of comparison were plot, mechanics, and user interface. These were the publisher’s stated concerns—not findings that any particular element was copied or that infringement occurred.
Movie Games head of marketing Michał Puczyński told PC Gamer: “Due to repeated opinions that Schedule I is very similar to DDS, we were obliged to request a legal analysis from an intellectual property specialist.” He added: “It has indicated that there might have been an infringement by the Schedule I developers in relation to Drug Dealer Simulator.” The wording is explicitly tentative, and the comments describe the company’s preliminary assessment, not a court ruling. PC Gamer’s April 7, 2025 report attributes the statements to Puczyński.

Did Movie Games want Schedule I removed?
No—not according to the position Movie Games described in April 2025. The company said it was not seeking to prevent TVGS from selling or developing the game. Its April 8 clarification on the Drug Dealer Simulator 2 Steam page also said no lawsuit had been filed at that time. This is a dated account of the publisher’s stated intentions, not a guarantee about later events. PC Gamer reproduced the clarification.
What is known about the timeline?

The reports establish that Movie Games announced an investigation and made claims about possible similarities. They do not establish that a court found infringement, that TVGS was ordered to change the game, or that the investigation ended. Steam identifies Schedule I as a TVGS Early Access game released on March 24, 2025; that product information does not resolve the legal question. Steam’s store page provides the game’s listing.
