Not necessarily. STAR WARS Battlefront II is included with EA Play only if it appears in the Play List for your platform and region. EA’s current public materials do not confirm that it is available in every EA Play catalog, so check the catalog in your console or PC storefront before subscribing. If it is listed, access lasts only while your membership is active; it is not a permanent copy of the game.
What “free with EA Play” means
EA Play is a paid membership that includes access to a collection of games, along with other benefits such as select game trials, rewards and a discount on eligible EA digital purchases. The membership applies to one platform. So even when Battlefront II is included, “free” means bundled access during an active subscription—not that you own the game at no additional cost.
EA’s terms say Play List availability can vary by platform and territory and can change over time. When a subscription or trial ends, access to Play List games ends unless you separately have access to that game on the applicable platform. EA also says benefits are not guaranteed and may be added, switched or removed. Its terms were updated May 7, 2026. EA Play membership details · EA Play Terms
How to check whether Battlefront II is included for you
- Open the EA Play catalog in the store for the platform you use: the EA app, Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation Store or Xbox Store, as applicable.
- Search for STAR WARS Battlefront II and confirm that the listing says it is included with EA Play, rather than merely offering the game for purchase.
- Check the edition and platform shown on the listing, then review the local membership price and terms before subscribing.
EA identifies Battlefront II for EA app, Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but that platform list does not establish that the game is in every platform’s current Play List. EA’s removals history records changes, not a complete current catalog; a game’s absence from that page is not proof that it is included. EA’s Battlefront II page · EA Play Play List updates

EA Play versus buying Battlefront II separately
| What to compare | EA Play access | Separate purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Only if Battlefront II is listed in the catalog for your platform and territory. | EA’s game page presents the game for purchase; confirm the platform and edition match your system. |
| How long you can play | Access to Play List titles ends when the membership or trial ends, unless you have separate access to the game. | Governed by the applicable platform’s purchase and license terms. |
| Cost | Check the current local membership price and duration in your store; there is no single price that applies everywhere. | Check the current price for the relevant platform and edition. |
EA lists Standard and Celebration editions of Battlefront II. If the game is not in your catalog, buying a compatible copy is an alternative—not a requirement for members whose catalog currently includes it. EA’s game and edition information
Online play and other requirements
EA’s product terms require the game on the applicable platform, updates, an internet connection and an EA Account. Console players may also need a separate platform membership for online play; EA names Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus in its FAQ, but console service names and requirements can change, so check the current requirements for your system.
