How to decide whether it suits your child
Use the age recommendation as a prompt to consider the specific scenes and your child’s sensitivities, rather than as a guarantee that every 10-year-old will react the same way. If you are unsure, you could preview the documentary, watch it together, or wait until your child is older. Watching together also gives you a chance to explain the references to glue sniffing, homelessness, or asylum if questions come up.
